I would never give my visa. And a few are asking for personal info, such as a pic and phone number of employer. I would avoid those too. Shopping on BP is like swimming in a sea of sharks. You will get bitten eventually. I would stay with trusted local providers with many reviews from trusted mongers. Providers such as Miss Monroe, Angel Love, CC Hunter, Shi, Miss Juicy, and Big E's girls I would see. Some of the others who are new or asking too many questions I would avoid. This is one case where you do not want to TOFTT. I would suggest sending a few PM's to senior members if you have any doubts or questions before contacting the provider.

As one of the guys on Canton board always says - I had a dream this afternoon - I called and it turned out that I actually had an outdated number the other day. She seemed nice on the phone and directed me to her incall location. No, not that type of virus! I'm talking about the two nasty computer viruses my computer picked up this weekend. I'm 90% certain that an ad in either the Cleveland or Akron BP classified ad area is infected with a virus/trojan that downloads malware onto your computer.
I'm a halfway savvy computer user and I managed to pick up similar viruses on Saturday and Sunday. Both became apparent within a few minutes to a few hours of visiting ads on BP. In particular, I think it is probably one of the ads that has a slideshow or other "moving" animations.
The viruses manifest themselves as some sort of "antivirus software" but end up basically hijacking your web browser and blocking most applications from opening.
These things took me hours to get rid of and weren't blocked by my normal antivirus program.
I hate to cast dispersions on every girl in every ad on BP. But all signs point to one of these numbskulls uploading her pictures in a slideshow that uses ActiveX software, which just happens to be infected.
The only other way to get this bug is from downloading infected files. And since I haven't downloaded anything this weekend, the logical assumption is that some dumbass on BP gave it to me.
I'm curious if any of you have had similar problems? If so, PM me and I can at least give you some basic instructions on cleaning your computer.
Anytime a user sends an email to a girl on Backpage and she answers with an auto-reply or asks you to join a certain "FREE" site to get her phone no. DO NOT JOIN! By joining, you will inadvertantly download a virus when you open their page. Additionally. They may be trying to steal your personal information and identity. Ther viruses on this site have cost me $345 to delete from my computer. Had to clean entire computer and reload all programs by a professional. This Backpage B. S. Should not be allowed by this site. They know who is sending viruses. I doubt that Backpage would publish this so I put it on this site for everyones safety.

Ow! That sucks. I browse those sites regularly and have not had the same issue, but I know from trying to help a neighbor that some of those malware/virus attacks are really nasty to shake off. They hijack your browsers, your OS, your ability to run Malware removal software, etc. You have my sympathies. I finally got sick of ads playing music so found and installed a great Firefox add-in which lets you decide which (if any) flash objects run on any given site. Search for "flashblock". Not sure if that would have helped you, though. Good luck recovering.
