As already posted, there was an article today in CNN and other newspapers' Web sites informing of the upcoming changes in CL policy for "Erotic" ads.

Well, it is in effect already; if you check today's ads for Charlotte, only four or five were posted. And if you click on the "Post" link, a "Page Not Found" 404 error comes up.

They sure were not kidding. Let's just see how long it lasts this time.

With the recent changes in CL, I am in the process of putting together a list of other sites that are free. I have the ones on the list. If you wish to provide via PM any free or low cost site you use, I will keep track and send it out via PM. Maybe this will be helpful until the CL ads recover.

You need to go through a proxie server to view the adult CL ads as they are being blocked in the Carolinas due to pendig legal action, using a proxie server you can see the ads just fine. Fyi

Oscott5, not sure what blocking you are referring to, as I can view every posting in CL in the Adult section.
Maybe in South Carolina they are being blocked or maybe it is an ISP thing where some ISPs are blocking it, but I just checked tonight and had no problem in Charlotte.

Using a proxy server is always a good idea, though, as that way, the site you are visiting cannot track your information (IP address).
The only drawback is the reduction in surfing speed.

Have been making the cruise thru the area and have very little luck. I did spot a short haired blond yesterday and the day before on RF around the bridge over 85! That has been all I have seen over the last few months. Hopefully with the weather warming up the SW's will start sprouting!

With a tip from one of our fellow mongers here, I looked at 'sipsap' . I found a sweet looking little Latina named Kandy Rain. I called her, sure sounded sweet enough on the phone, but we all know how that goes. She said she had an incall convienant enough, but she only takes appointments til 7 pm. I was on the way home last night around 10p. I went the back way down RF. When I saw what appeared to be a WSW with red hair (like punk dyed red) near the bridge. It was raining lightly so visibility wasn't perfect, but from what I could tell, she was at least a 9 on the SW scale. I had no cash on me, so I ran to a local ATM and on my return, was about a quarts block away on the other side of the street when a fellow monger beat me to it. As for the "red" head I mentioned yesterday, I saw her walking with a friend last night. Tried to say hey, but they did not seem to notice. She may not be in the biz. Or maybe only part time. She may also be under age, which would not be good at all.

I'd like to know how they are baiting the Johns. I can't imagine they let a female officer get in a car?

The females with an actual prostitution charge, they caught in a sting. The males and females with crimes against nature, they caught in common places with their pants down.
Was coming up 85 last night and swung off just to see what was happening in the Rozz corridor, 3 marked cars sitting in some of the usual spots. Chief Rodney has his priorities doesn't he.

Not sure where to post this, so I posted a quick note in Gastonia, but mainly Im posting this in Charlotte.

Misty is a mid 20's girl from the Gastonia area. There are like 3 Misty's in the Gashouse. This Misty has not been out on the streets much, but she has been occasionally (thus how I met her). This morning, at 10:30AM, I was driving by Rozzelles Ferry and N. Lynwood and there was a provider (a 6/7 body, could not see her face) walking slowly.

I might be thinking about this all wrong, and I certainly understand why the " married mongers " use the disposable cells , but I've always used my regular phone for contact. I already have 2 cellphones to keep up with , I can't see the need for another. Since there is no wife to look thru my call history, I've never worried about it. What do you guys tell the wife if she finds a cell she didn't know you had ??

As far as LE goes, the only thing they could prove is that , my phone called hers . There is certainly nothing illegal about that . I could have loaned the phone to a friend, called the wrong number, or any one of a dozen reasons . I don't think they could ever prove that 'I' actually ever spoke with, much less saw the girl in person , even if the call did go thru . If I am wrong about this , someone please let me know

You're absolutely right. Married men have much more to lose. Even without getting arrested.
However, you don't have to be married, or arrested, to be placed in a very, VERY uncomfortable situation.

Worse case scenario would be if YOU visited the CL massage provider in Boston prior to the a-hole that killer her. Your phone number is on her phone and you would be one of the first LE would investigate. Innocent or not, I'm sure LE spent many HOURS interrogating previous clients of hers, from their phone numbers on her phone. I doubt the Boston PD exercised discretion when contacting these guys. How many other lives or marriages were affected.
I for one would not enjoy a few hours sitting in an interrogation room discussing why my number was on her phone, with another half dozen more calls in her history.

I first discussed a pay-as-you-go phone with my wife as a more economical option that would only cost about $15 a month instead of $40. After all, I don't use my cell phone very often. A month later, I bought one and never discussed it with her. She saw it once in my car and I told her I tried it back when we discussed it and I didn't like it. "Hell, I even forgot the unlock code". I've been using it for about 8 months and it is now kept in my desk at work.

I've learned a lot since then so my newest anonymous phone can NEVER be traced back to me. Stays in the trunk of my car in my golf bag. My excuse to anyone would be, "Oh that, I found it on the golf course a couple of weeks ago. Keypad is locked so I couldn't call or identify the owner".

I have more tips about staying anonymous but they would take too long to post.

Better safe than sorry.
