Will Trump actually be able to get a border wall constructed?

It's a simple fix, no wall is needed. Fine anybody employing an undocumented worker 100K per worker and the market disappears overnight without spending a couple trillion dollars. Though if you do that, you can't pass out all that government welfare to the construction companies building the wall.

It's actually probably good for the Republicans to not have to deal with even more negative stuff had Moore won. And I don't think it makes it any more harder for Trump than before. They couldn't get Obamacare pushed out with having the Republican majority edge and the tax bill still needs work to get through (and, who knows, it may not). Business as usual in the Trump WH.

If we had ever truly wanted to control illegal immigration we could have done it a long time ago (spanning both democratic and republican administrations). We (the country as a whole) wanted the cheap labor - "we" American businesses liked the impact to the bottom line, and "we" American consumers liked lower prices. It is absolutely disingenuous and farcical to pretend that the world's remaining superpower is being unfairly victimized by a bunch of poor people crossing the desert to mow lawns and clean hotel rooms. Unfortunately, in today's America, common sense, integrity, and character play no role in shaping public policy.
