Seems like there is a market out there for the affairs as well as the monger who wants to dabble with outcalls. We need a clean, safe place we can pay cash for to host a nooner!

Enter the idea of an Airbnb geared towards the discreet rendezvous. Instead of renting by the night, it can be rented in multiple hour blocks and comes with fresh linens. Anyone out there wanting to startup such a business is welcome to try to copyright "Airbnbbj". All I ask for is discounted rates in return. You'll also need to figure out a cash payment system so the spouse can't find out. It's hard enough for me to hide my petty cash hobby fund from her, so no way can I use a CC or pay an online site without getting caught.

In Michigan (or is it just GR? Last I checked, it's against the official rules to hop on Airbnb to rent out your house without you being there. Basically it has to be like a bed & breakfast (minus the breakfast). It's to keep hotels & motels running well, because they hate it. Now, how enforced is that? Probably not too much. But you create a make-shift version called AirBnBBJ, for rent-by-the-hour, it'll be cracked down Hard.

Also, Airbnb doesn't run anything except a website and set the rules people have to abide by. Just the the rent-my-car type places. It's independent.

So what's brought up is more than that. For it to be Verified Cleaned after every "bedroom shift", and not gain bad exposure, it sounds like you'd have to run each place yourself. Or, have "managers" like uber drivers "man" their own premises, so they'd have to Be there anyway (no local law violation).

Essentially, it sounds like you'd buy houses in the dirty west side, around heritage hill - easttown, with multiple apts in it, and work from there. And also allow folks who own such houses to partner up and run their own and be an independent contractor, and follow the rules, etc. They would always have to have someone on-site.

You couldn't call it AirBnBBJ. That's so funny. Not only would it put a target symbol on it for being "short shift stays", but you'd get customer complaints that they thought they were promised a BBJ, but the girl demanded a condom put on!

Instead you'd call it something appealing to blocks of time. Appealing to folks traveling in from out of town early, going to leave in the evening, or people coming in at night, and leaving early morning -- and are just wanting a place to crash with Privacy. Or just people coming in for a business meeting and needing a place to freshen up, get their stuff together, go to that, collect their things, and be on their way. A "budget" stand-by, if you will. A step up from having a friend in town to temporarily utilize, and not needing a whole day / night hotel-motel experience.

Problem is, outside the monger arena, you're not going to get much pull at all. The price isn't going to be any different than a budget motel. I just want to use it for a day. OK. Still going to get taxed by the local govt same as hotel / motel -- and it's not going to be worth it changing everything and wiping it down, etc. , for lower price than a super-budget motel from 3 pm - 9 am the next day, even if you've only got it booked for 2 hours. I don't see the pull outside hotel / motels being filled during an event or the monger market for their own "out calls".

MY THOUGHTS: Just hit up guys on AirBNB -- and ask for a discount for just a block of time here and there. Find one that's cool with it, repeat. Expand your portfolio of options too.
