Called to confirm they were open. Upbeat asian answered, said they were not busy. She spoke decent english. I did not stop. CHP had a car pulled over for a citation in the stripmall parking lot. At the same time OPD was cruising through. There are very few open businesses in the strip mall. I don't ice skate so it is pretty obvious what I was doing there. Maybe they thought I was looking for Vista paint? The new WW looks like a very nice clean place. But, reception area is open to parking lot with no drapes. Area is gritty so I might return in the day time with my clunker car. I probably wouldn't go there at night.

Sounds like things haven't changed. The WW mall parking lot used to be a hangout for cruisers using it as a speed trap while keping an eye on the parlor. I learned to ride my bike over and chek out he lot before locking it up in the back if the lot was black & white-less.

WW was good, but never worth the hassle to me.

So, one must drive behind the motel and thread through seedy side streets and past empty businesses and wearhouses. Traveling directly to WW, off 101, much easier and safer. I think much of the area is going to remain messed up for sometime because of the bad economy and because some wackos wants to preserve the WW motel as a historical place.

I have never felt that uncomfortable in the parking lot. But, the parking lot had a few cars there when I visited them. Is the new WW in the same spot as the old WW? On the left hand side of the lot?

I find it a lot easier to bike around when I'm out parlor-hopping, and WW was always a bit of a pain to get to from The Esplanade, and worse now with the detour. (Off-Topic, I'm one of those "wackos" that would like to see the motel preserved, but realized the need to upgrade that area, so hopefully a compromise can be found soon, since the area is a total mess and best to avoid altogether.) The Ventua Road entrance was easier but way out of my way, so I would usually think twice about visiting this place.

That mall always gave me a creepy feeling even when there were more tennants and fewer rollers. Same with the mall that Nichol's is at, but that's another thread.

I'm assuming they offer up a shower? I'm noticing fewer places do.

Wanted to go to BM but Ruby said she was short and it would be a while, one customer waiting outside already, so opted to try WW. Wow! Sorry to push the race button! Just to CMA-my point was not about skin color, rather just that MPs should all be a little ounique in their services to better compete. Even if every store front in every town offered up siilar service from a dozen beautiful enthusiastic 20-something Asians-what would be the point?
