I've had a few SBs try to get my plate number on our first meeting (some ask, some just kind of go for it). I've always thought it was just a funny and mostly pointless "security measure" for them, and didn't really mind. I mean, it's not like you can steal someone's identity or open up a new credit card if you have their plate number. Am I being too careless about this though? Can an SB who has that info use it in some harmful way?

This one is in Chattanooga. I scheduled something twice, then she went silent as it got close to time. Wanted $150 just to meet anyway. Don't waste your time.

I could be wrong, but I'm thinking if they want to arrest you, they'll just arrest you. What's the point of getting your plate number? If they want your name, they'll just ask or get it from your license.

I've heard explanations from they really don't take the picture, but merely provide the illusion of taking a picture. That is to give the impression that someone else is looking out for provider and that she would be missed or someone else would know if something were to go awry. Some actually take the pic and send it to a friend for safety reasons. Most of the time a monger won't know that the info is being captured. The motivation may be different with SBs, but I view them as one in the same since they are getting paid to play. The most disturbing aspect for me is not the plate being captured, but that they will sneak in a picture of us when not expected.

[/QUOTE]Thanks, that sounds like a reasonable explanation. And I think you're right, given how easily and discreetly modern tech allows people to take pictures and video, there are bigger concerns. Besides, plate numbers are probably near impossible to hide in the long run anyway.
