Areas like North Korea or remote isolated areas in Africa and such could have (or had!) diseases that can go unchecked. This current virus just reinforces the point how we are globally connected economically. Can we just cut ties with them and pull back? I think it's too late for that because everything from food, technology, raw materials, education down to the kitchen sink is traded globally, we both profit. Some ladies will stay with the store owner or travel back to NYC. It's 50/50 but medical care and being close to family is why some are leaving. When this is over they will leave NYC to start working again.
