A Boston police office has been put on paid administrative leave after he was arrested in a prostitution sting in Lynn overnight, Boston police said. One of 16 men arrested, Boston and Lynn police said. He was arraigned this afternoon in Lynn District Court on a charge of paying for sexual conduct. The sting, which took place from 8 pm Thursday to 4 a. M. Friday, was aimed at arresting males as they solicited females for sex, according to Lynn Police Lieutenant. The 16 men arrested solicited a female undercover officer.

How does an active duty cop not spot an obvious sting? It's not like they really do a very good job of disguising what they're doing when they set these stings up. It's always two older, mostly housewife looking girls working one way too obvious spot, never moving or walking the ave, and the whole cavalry parked just out of sight around an obvious corner no monger would ever dare try to pick up a girl from. This is why I never approach a girl who's standing still, or only pacing in a small area (unless I already know her of course). Aunt Leo can't move around much because she needs to stay in sight of her backup. If they're not walking, I'm not biting.

I usually pick up the ones that are constantly moving. I have them walk a few blocks to a side street and never discuss business until they are in the car and I am already driving down the street that way I am sure. In a way I feel kind of bad for that cop, his reputation is now demolished. I bet a lot of LE are tempted and fantasize about hooking up with a good looking SW especially when they stop to have conversations with them. So if it is only in that area of the perimeter, then it is a no go, it has to be on a blind spot area and not in the open. If it feels like you're on the open, then you'll probably be on a sting operation.

It's extremely rare for them to use a house or apartment for a sting, so that's unlikely. Boston has a residency requirement, although I suppose it's possible he was violating it and living in Lynn (I know a bunch of police, fire, and ems, were fired a few years ago because they were caught living outside the city). But I doubt they were running a sting for guys looking for outcalls, they just don't do that very often because the logistics tend to be much more involved. Plus they end up with fewer arrests, and substantially increased man-hours. It just isn't cost effective.
The most likely assumption is that they were running a sting on the street.

That is true. I thought there were one near the rotary but thinking about it thats a condo complex. I agree if they are sticking to one spot or just one small side street leave them there. Not worth risking it now a days with leo out there unless you already know the SW.
