So I answered a CL ad (its gone now). I get a response right away with a picture that looks TGTBT along with a link to enter my credit card information so I can get her number right away. I ignored it then the person sent me another email with another link to enter my information with some obnoxious statements. I ignored that and they went away. It was in the casual encounter section of W4 M. I wonder how many fall for that crap. LOL.

I thought I'd let you guys know about a CL scam I ran into. I replied to a post offering a massage. Person asked for my phone number to text pictures. I sent my phone number. Then person told me they were going to expose me to my significant other because now they have my phone number if I don't meet the person and give them $500.

I use a burner, so I played along for a bit and told them I was on my way to their location. Then I blew them off. Got a bunch of threatening texts afterwards.

About a year later I responded to another ad and emailed back and forth followed by some texts. When she was sure she knew who I was she threatened exposure in a variety of ways. Since she had been to my business (I am a small business owner) she knew a lot of details about the location, details on what was in my office, etc. Didn't take her much to find my real name, business info, home info, spouse info, kids info, etc. Then came the blackmail, extortion, threats, etc. Just ignored her (with many sleepless and panic attack nights) and it finally stopped.

There was another case posted in the news about some dude extorting a soccer mom with some pics he took of her during an encounter. He and a GF were arrested and sentenced for blackmail. They were in the Elgin area.

It happens all to frequently!

LOL.[/QUOTE]I have run several ads on CL under casual encounters and thanks to some of the great advice here w / our fellow brothers the key to it for me was running several at a time w / slight variations. The robo responses are pretty slick but when you respond back specifically to something and then get a robo response you know to delete. They are creative though. Many want a verification by going to a site and giving your cc info just to be "verified". Really to be drained and not in a good way! Actually w / persistence I did meet a sweet kid (24 since I will be 64 this year she was a kid to me) that was legit and a non pro. My experience has been w / persistence and patience there are girls out there that are not necessarily "in the life" that just want to try the hobby or really just want a cash job! Sorry can't give details as she doesn't want me to on here.
