Anyone checked out the new place?
Friends of mine went Saturday night and reports were positive. Much of the staff is ex-Harem, which is why they went (couple of them worked at Harem up until its closing). Another person I know did remodeling work in there prior to it opening. I used to go when it was Centerfolds and haven't been in since that time.
I commented that I hadn't realized it was open again, probably because there had been no killings reported as yet. They said it was a decent mix of clientele, with no particular demographic dominating. I may check it out some time, but I really don't do the clubs all that often these days. I prefer to hold onto my cash for sure things.
Have not been there yet, and not sure if I will, but I wonder if it's mainly Harem people why they just didn't reopen the old Harem building?
Not sure I understand your question. It's not the owners of the building that are at EC shaking their ass. It's the dancers, who are not owners of the building or the business it's self. I'm not sure the dancers can buy out the current owners or would if they could. They'll just move on to the next opportunity which currently is EC.

Also, Bryan (former manager of Harem) is managing the EC, so logically, he would recruit his old staff. It's got harem dancers, bartenders, bouncers, and even the kitchen manager that used to make those awesome tacos on Tuesdays.

LMAO. Takes lot of money to reopen harem bldg. Remember it was in foreclosure and has property taxes plus repairs. Not worth it.

Remember it was in foreclosure and has property taxes plus repairs. Not worth it.
The Harem, like most other business that have been shut down by local agencies, are usually done so with the help, tireless efforts, complaints and suspicious details provided at the will and wrath of 'do-gooder', unhappy neighbors. Regardless of what activities that may be going on inside, if they want you gone, they will look for a way, whether it is suspected criminal activity or just a general neighborhood nuisance. Why would anyone in their right mind, (even they could), want to open up a new place, with the same angry do-gooder neighbors, and with the same potential liabilities, in the same building? I don't do the clubs anymore, but it seems pretty obvious to me, that the fewer neighbors an adult business has, and the better they keep their noses clean, the better the chances they will have of avoiding a fate similar to Harem's, regardless of who is dancing on the stage, or who is in control of the business operations.
Fb page says is BYOB and fully nude. Can you confirm this info? Any info on lap dance prices?

Also the township trustees want them all gone. Which is nice but how do you replace revenue and spending of the employees in the township. And who do you get to
lease the buildings? Or is it just empty buildings all over they want?

If the owner of EC's used to manage Harem, I wondered why he wouldn't just try and get the Harem building since it is a better location with way less homicides and thugs than Plush had. But the building being a disaster does make sense.

But the way the trustee's look at it, no one will want to move into an area that is loaded with strip clubs and sex shops so they want to run as many of them off as possible with the mindset of no strip clubs=business wanting to move in. But they have a hell of a lot more problems than just strip clubs.

While EC is in the township as well there are less neighborhoods around, so people minding their own business and not bitching about the club.
The harem dragged attention for being in the area they were trying to clean.
Now, is our responsibility to make EC a great club, with nice vibe, welcome all people but if we were planning on mongering I rather do OTC this time.
