That's some BS that a mistake and one time exercise of poor judgement would haunt for so long. Last time I went at the far end it indicated various lines for regular, ready, and sentri / global and when I got there there ended up being only 1 line. The BP agent that kicked me back to the end of the line was pretty rude about it. It was my 1st time crossing on foot, and I was like "fuck you Gringos!" LOL.

Been wanting to check out the Street walkers in tj. Been to tj for other stuff but never for that. Would be cool to roll with others who are down. Preferably people in their 20's and early 30's but anyone is welcome. We can split gas money. Once there just everyone can get their girls and does their thing separately. At the end either get food and drive back. Just comment here or pm me. Also I'm fluent in Spanish can translate if needed.

To echo what the last guy said, just go to Hong Kong your first trip. You could try Adelina's just a couple doors down the street as well, also very safe.

I worry about the corrupt police and taxis too. Have never had a problem taking taxis, I usually give them $8 but they will accept $5. When you walk out of the border crossing building at PedEast, you will just follow this sidewalk for a block or two until you get to a turnstile. Once you pass through that turnstile you will be immediately asked by somebody if you want a cab. You are probably safe enough just saying yes. What I do instead though is if you take a right after the turnstile and walk about 50 yards along the sidewalk, you will see a little Hong Kong shuttle ride store on the right side manned by somebody wearing a HK uniform, just go there and tell them you want a shuttle ride to HK, they will call the shuttle to come get you, usually only takes a couple minutes and may be sitting there already. The ride is free but I always tip the driver $5 anyways. Same cost as cab, but I feel much safer taking the shuttle because the cops are not going to hassle the HK shuttle, the HK makes sure the cops are cool. Sometimes the HK shuttle is actually waiting in this parking area before you even get to the turnstile. As long as it is a limo clearly marked as Zona and HK and drivers are wearing HK uniforms, you are safe to just take the ride from there before you even pass the turnstile. There is also a black van they use to shuttle people too. It is not as clearly marked as the limo, but the inside will have a TV playing HK advertising, so you will know you are in the right vehicle LOL.

With the taxis, the scam to worry about is the Taxi driver will text a cop and tell him to pull them over and shake them down. The cab driver pretends they are a victim too, but they are in on it. Has never happened to me, but will probably cost you $100 if it does if you want to go about your business quickly. Just be careful not to bribe them, ask if you can give them the money to go pay the fine for you LOL.

To get back, I always make sure I exit Hong Kong and walk to the valet podium directly and ask if you can get a shuttle back to border. They will see you are a HK customer and have you wait for next shuttle. The shuttle will drop you off as far as they can drive and you walk the rest of the way, if it's busy the line will be right there. If you are unsure which way to go, just ask driver which way to border and they will point which direction you need to walk, it's like 2 block from drop off to where the US border agents check your passport to let you into the line on the US side. Odds are there will be a line on the Mexico side before you get to those initial agents. Once you pass those initial agents, you are home free and on US soil, always a good feeling to be honest.

I've only ever had CBJ at San Diego AMP, and ended up having CFS a Hong king. I've been freaking out since that I've caught something. Haven't been able to go get tested yet because of work. Can't tell if I need to pee all the time or just imagining it! What's your experience with catching anything at HK, or with CFS?

Seems pretty unlikely you would catch something if you used a condom for FS. You didn't mention if you had BBBJ, and while it is fairly rare to catch something from that, the only time in 10 years I have caught something it was from a BBBJ. I am not a doctor, but regardless of what activities I do, I force myself to take a pee immediately after just to clean the pipes so if there is some bacteria milling around it will be less likely to gain a foothold. Still get tested, the peace of mind is worth its weight in gold.

Feeling calmer now, got a week before I'll have the chance to get tested, looking forward to the peace of mind. From everything I've read, condoms should stop most stuff if used properly. It didn't break, so should be ok. And didn't do BBBJ, that seems on the forum where most people get stung. Never knew it was so risky.

Unless you are buying huge quantities, it doesn't really matter where you buy it. If you want good prices on reliable, brand-name drugs, check out Piri Pharmacy near the arch across from the wax museum. It is a bit of a walk from the zona (it became popular because it is along the walking path from PedWest, but few people make that walk nowadays).

If you are in the zona, there is a Pharmacia Ahorro just up the hill on Constitution and Primero. If you walk up to Revo there are a bunch of pharmacies (I stood on one corner and counted 12 in view) that are all fine.

If you are buying brand name in bulk, Costco and Sam's Club both have pharmacies.

They would quote the price in Pesos and hope the clueless gringo would simply fork over the $$. So, a $2. 60 purchase would be quoted as "26. ".

".[/QUOTE]Any legit pharmacy will quote prices in pesos, but will convert to their dollar rate if asked. Anyone who buys anything in Tijuana should be aware of the exchange rate.
