"Safe" means "without risk." There's risk involved no matter where you are, so I take your question to mean that you want to know how to mitigate your risk. Don't expect that you're ever safe.

As others have said, the answers are here and it really is a good idea to read the forum. However, I'll give you my personal opinion and you can decide if it's worth or not.

1: Don't negotiate price until you get the girl in your room. No cop will go with you to your room alone.

2: Make sure all of your valuables are in the safe and don't OPEN the safe in her presence. There are reports here of some girls seeing the combination in the mirror and ripping off the guy, or maybe she'll just club you over the head.

3: Be aware of your surroundings and possessions. Don't let someone slip something in your drink because you weren't paying attention. Don't flash a lot of cash or jewelry. Don't brag and run your mouth.

4: Don't give out your cell phone number to a girl. If she gets pinched and your number is in her cell phone or address book, then there's a tie right back to you. If you call her from your cell phone, she's got it. Some guys get a pay as you go phone for monger activities. If you're active, it's a good idea. If not, don't worry about collecting digits from a girl that you liked. Ships pass in the night, but there's another voyage tomorrow.

You can have a nice time if you pay attention to your environment and size up the right girl before you take her back to your room. Get the wrong kind of girl and give her an opening, she'll take what she can and leave you with nothing but embarrassment.

If I had to do over again I would have stayed at the Tropicana or Excalibur. It is way too easy to pick up action in that area. That fact alone is important, especially if you are from out of town and not looking for alot of hassels. I am sure there is other good hunting spots but you have to factor, unless you are a local, most guys are in LV for only 2 to 3 days. You are there for some action not to figure out the whole entire CG scene of LV.

Earlier this summer I was at the MGM and on the first night, on my way from the poker room to my room, I was literally offered "tuck in service" twice, one girl said, "High, honey!" and when I got a little lost, another asked if could show me to my room, which I politely declined. Yep, MGM is a great place to hunt. Always lots of girls there. That is why I keep coming back there. And it's an easy stroll to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay, the latter also being a good place to look. Plus, you got to love the ability to check in and get your room key at the airport. I'll be back in early December and I'm going to sample some of the indy talent this trip.

Already got the plane ticket purchased but I'm waiting to make room reservations. Got a good deal last October on my room and I'm hoping with the economy as down as it is, Vegas hotels will be making even better offers. From what I have read here and elsewhere, things are kind of slow in Vegas and the casions are begging people to visit them.

As far as fun time goes, I have never needed to venture outside of the MGM to find my fun. This trip I have extra money to spend so I'm going to br seeing some local indy talent and not so much looking for CG's.

Yeah. Anyone who is worried about mongering in Vegas. Relax. If you walk alone anywhere on the south strip--inside casinos or out--between 10 PM and about 6 AM, you will get approached, and it will be clear that it's a working girl. Anyone who's worried that they won't be able to tell. Relax. If you are alone and a girl who is alone or with one or two other girls talks to you. That's a CG (or SW depending on the context). It's pretty clear. If not, make small talk for a second. They'll proposition you. Supply is way greater than demand in Vegas, so the girls will try to get you, not the other way around.

There's no police, etc. to speak of--in fact, the girls will be more worried you are "security" than anything else. If you walk around alone at night down on the south strip, there are dozens and dozens of girls to choose from, and it's pretty risk free. Your hardest job---as was mine last night--may be convincing them you are not a cop/security.

Specifically:

I'm staying at the MGM this trip and last night there were dozens of girls hitting on me at the bars here (any bar will work), by the slot machines near the elevators, and on the walkways between here, trop, excalibur and NYNY. Picked up a WCG at the trop and got FS for $250. Piece of cake.

For those needing more information. Action started at about 9-10 PM. If you can't find anything you like in MGM, walk over to Trop and then to Excalibur and then Luxor. If, after 9-10 PM, you don't see somewhere between 12-24 girls as you do this walk, then you are not looking. This place is crawling with girls.

Then I woke up this AM early (time zone--I live out east and don't sleep late) and still--girls all over the walkways and in the bars until the sun comes up. Of particular note, the 24 hour bar where the walkway from the MGM enters NYNY was crawling with girls early this AM. I sat down and was propositioned by two BCG, one Asian and 3 WCG while sitting for a half hour. Plus another couple on the way there and the way back.

If you want to start mongering, (or enjoy it like I do) it doesn't get much better than Vegas, and it doesn't get much better than the south end of the strip. Plenty of girls to talk to and be with.

I did the cruise of the walkways by MGM grand tonight around 10:00 and there was not a CG in sight. There were, however, no fewer than 8 uniformed Las Vegas Police officers walking the overpasses. I'm not sure if it's because they have a big presence on Saturdays or because it was becoming to outrageous. Anyway, I suspect the best action tonight will inside the casinos.

First off, there will be way more girls Sat night than the other nights. Second, most of the action will be after midnight with things getting easier to negotiate after 3am or so.

That said, Mirage is no longer a treasure trove of cg's, and action at TI is sparse compared to other nearby casinos. There are lots of ladies across the street at Venetian. Just cross the street on that walkway then walk across the front of Venetian and go through the main doors in the front that enter next to where the poker room is. I don't think you will have problems getting a lady to walk across the street. Also tons of action at Cesars.

If you want a bit cheaper, wait until 3am then walk the strip from Venetian down to around the Flamingo. There are often a lot of girls walking that area.

My experience last June. I was with a group of friends and they made it hard for me to take a girl back to the room. So. I told the CG that, and she told me that we could get a room elsewhere. Obviously not at the expensive joints. But we got a room (about 60 bucks) just off the strip. It did add 60 bucks to my total expense but it was worth it.

You can find a CG that will have a room or she may suggest getting a cheap room near the strip. I have gone to a CG's room but she felt comfortable with me she said. I met her at the Luxor and went to some small hotel near the Flamingo.

If she says to get a hotel room, have her get the room in her name. If you have a car, try car dating. I have done that a few times. I found a way to get comfortable in the back seat, but I limit car dating to girls that are okay.

Its all coming back to me. The hotel is Miramar not Marimar and the street with all the real action is Kuhio. Kalakaua had girls, but it was in the spotlight and Kuhio was nice and dark and seedy.

I was up in LV about a month ago and a couple of the CGs, on seperate occasions, quoted me $$$ at first but I told them how about $$. Both without hesitation settled for the $$. Its like Mexico, alot of these CGs are going to at first quote you their sucker price, but are willing to haggle.

The girl I saw is a bcg. She showed signs of a newbie, which I love, because they haven't learned how to say "no" to the things you want to do with them,whereas pros will say not that, not there.
