If you would have RTFF, you would have learned something but I guess it was over your head. Post some reports, earn your status. If I was LE, i'd book you on STUPIDITY. Hello All:
First my plans for the after holiday gathering fell to the way side due to some other issues. But to the report. I agree with Ake totally, it is much more productive to be overly cautious to the point of being paranoid, than it is to risk going into a situation that is putting a monger in even more risk than is normally cutsomary with the hobby. I actually went out into the Hoke/Garner Zone last week. And I saw someone getting pinched at the store on Garner and Hoke. 3 cruisers there, and they were talking with one of the local street pharmacists as it were. I belive I saw that blond that is spoken then also, and she was more than eager to wave me down. As a rule if a SW waves at me I do not stop. It is not because even worth it to get involved with someone that is not at least somewhat on their game, and not keeping things discreet. I actually had a SW severl weeks ago yell at me as I was passing by to stop. As most of you know out there, Goose78 does not roll like that. I think it is much better to be patient and have good intel so you can minimize your potential for an unpleasent trip. I am gonna be heading into the zone in the next couple of days and will try and post a report should anything fruitful occur. Oh and just a comment on newbies contacting senior memebers for info. I believe in the free exchange of info, but please show some common sense. If you have no posts and you joined the day before you send me a PM asking for info, you will not receive any response. I certainly hope that was just a newbie, and not our good uncle. Anyways take care my mongering brothers and as always be in it to win it and not just to finish.

Ok, this is something that I've been wondering about for awhile, and I thought I would post it here and see what replies I get. Hopefully this could aid ALL of us in the future.
Have you ever been pulled over by uncle leo whilst in the zone? If so explain what possible excuse or reason you've given for being in an area that is known for visiting mongers. I was followed by my dear ole uncle the other night (it was LATE too) and all that went through my head was "what the fuck am I going to tell this guy? " LOL I'm sure we've ALL been there at least once, (its a shit feeling). He ended up turning away, but still it made me start to wonder what if. Are there some kind of laws that specify that driving thru a "bad area" is in some way illegal? Does it give them probably cause? In most areas if your caucasian (like me) you stick out like a third nut!

I am not actually sure of the laws on the books in our fine state. But they would probably use some sort of loitering or public nuisance violation. But I think it is just tool they can use to justify to stop you and then talk to you about your driving habits. I for one have never been stopped, but I put that to always getting out as soon as I see any LEO at all. It is one of the things that comes with our hobby. As long as you do not have a "passenger" all you have to do is say you were driving through the area. Because here is the thing, as long as your tags are up to date, and you don't have anything questionable in your mongering vehicle, then really all they can work to pursue you on are normal traffic violations. And that is a waste of their time really, but I guess it is a deterent to some, but to each his own. To everyone out there, be careful my mongering brothers, and be in it to win it and not just to finish.

They can stop and ask you what your doing and you can tell them "taking a drive" and leave it at that. If you've been round the corner more than twice then they can question you further for suspicious activity but to actually bring you in and hold you is a waste of fuckin' time! They're not gonna do that also cause they can't.
Now, they can hold you for questioning for a day if your under investigation but that's about it. Remember, it's easier for them to find out what you're doing if you tell them than for them to actually figure it out themselves. Whenever in a situation with the fuckin' cops, always stick to your story because unless they actually "investigate" (read, break your legs) they won't find anything out.
It's really the same with escorts. In their ad it gave a disclaimer just like any other ad on TV that says "Do not operate heavy machinery while taking Ex, heavy diarrhea may occur! ". It doesn't matter who makes cookies, I like cookies and cookie time and in the add I found someone qualified to bake me cookies (read, female) so I decided I might take her up on the offer depending on what the cookie tastes like. She can just say, I wanted to spend [b]time[/b] and decided to knock boots because those cookies were great! YUM!

Really, most of this stuff is common sense.
The first part is to make sure you follow all the traffic laws to a T. For example, last fall I spaced out and let my tags expire. I realized it one morning at a gas station near the zone, promptly left and did not come back for a few days until I had it taken care of. In sum, you don't want to give the cops ANY reason to stop you. Riding around a bad neighborhood is not a reason.
However, one good excuse to have handy if you really think you need one is to print out some real estate listings and google maps, tell them you are looking at properties.
With regards to the transaction itself - it's not illegal to offer someone a ride. Granted, I may not do it right in front of an officer, but they basically would have to roll up on your spot and catch you in the act to have a shred of anything on you. If that's a concern, get a better spot. :) If you are that unlucky, swap a few pieces of information with the girl the moment you see the lights, as they will separate the two of you to try and get the story. At worst, all they have you on is lewd behavoir in public.
One of the best values of this board is the exchange of information. The members on here know who the working girls are. When there is a new girl that I don't know about, I'll offer her a ride and if she gets in, that's good sign #1, as most undercover girls would not get in. Second, I say/ask something along the lines of - "those tits are really nice, can I feel them?" That may be a cloddish thing to say to a civilian, but it is not in fact illegal. There's no way an undercover lets you grope.
Last, I've got a few Raleigh specific thoughts; While I would never suggest that anyone be anything less than careful and vigilant, the fact is that the RPD doesn't really target the customers. When was the last time you read about a street sting? (I may recall one from about 3-4 years ago...)
From what several of the girls reviewed on this board tell me, the RPD is much more concerned with drugs and homicide. If they arrest a girl on prostitution charges, chances are the whole thing is trying to get her to talk about the drug trade and/or murders.
They do arrest the girls somewhat regularly. My favorite in Oakwood, Deanna, told me that she got picked up around the holidays by an undercover officer. Her experience was similiar to what I've heard from other girls - the officers will cross the line and arrest them despite the lack of a proposition, while they're in jail, all the detectives will question them about various other cases and then when the whole thing gets to court, the case rarely stands up because of the officers initial actions.
In sum, be safe, be vigilant, don't let your guard down. But as long as you do that, most mongers (at least here in Raleigh) have very little to worry about.
(And yes, I know that our Uncle read this. I don't care, as they know all of this is true. Heck, they probably know a few of our cars anyway.)

I actually have been pulled before for driving while white. The cop told me that he pulled me because my tail light was flickering. He really just wanted an excuse to check me out. See if I had a passenger, drugs, etc. The real reason he pulled me which he also asked me about, was that he'd seen me pull through the same street twice within a couple of minutes. My excuse was that I had dropped a friend off after work in an unfamiliar area and gotten lost on the way back. Did he buy it? No. But since he had no REAL reason to doubt me such as signs of drug use or a passenger, he let me go with a warning that he suspected I was looking for drugs (which is their main concern btw).
What I learned...
Be nice and repectful within your rights.- Most of these guys don't want to deal with the paperwork of a trumped up charge unless you give them a hard time.
Be minimalist with your explanations.- They'll ask you for details looking for inconsistencies in your story. The more you give the more you hang yourself.
"I don't know" works well if you're acting lost.- "I don't know where I dropped him off. We went through some side roads and he just told me where to turn. I should have paid better attention"
Be clean.- Don't pursue this hobby while even the slightest bit drunk or high.
Be intimidated.- That's all they really want. His goal in pulling me over was to scare me so I didn't go back. To give me that "Holy shit I almost got caught" feeling.
Plan your route.- I got pulled because I was seen too often in the same area. Yes you might have better luck circling one hot spot, but you also draw MUCH more attention to yourself. You're better off planning a route that lets you hit all the hotspots but takes you as much time as possible to complete a loop. Remember you don't want to look like you're cruising. You want to look like your passing through.
One thing I would like to know is what information about you gets recorded and for how long. If you've been pulled, but waved on without even a written warning, does that somehow get put on your record? Do I have to worry that some cop checking my plates a year from now could pull me over because I'd been pulled in the same area way back when? Anyone know?

You have it backwards. It's not up to you to have to explain what you are doing down there. It is up to the officer to explain to you why he is pulling you over. He had no explanation, (or reason) so he moved on. He did his job and did it well. He followed you, making you nervous, so you left the area. Had he of actually seen you doing something illegal, or had a strong reasonable cause to suspect you were doing something illegal, you be asured his lights would have come on.
In the event you were not doing something illegal and he pulled you over, the obligation to "explain" is going to be on him. Just be respecful, and all will be fine.
But hey, this is another reason why I don't go out looking for SW. Way tooo much risk, both in disease, getting mugged, killed, robbed, beatin, or having uncle Leo give you a hard time. I much prefer paying a little more and seeing "high class" escorts.

No it's not illegal to drive through an area, even high crime and known drug areas and as long as you are not seen handing money to or receiving an item from someone you should be ok. However, if you are noticed cruising an area for an hour or so although not a crime you will come off as slightly suspicious. As a rule I cruise a zone a few times and leave for at least 15 minutes before returning and depending on the night if I do not see something I like in 2-3 circles around I go home.
Also, like someone else said it is not illegal to give someone a ride or to have someone in the car with you even if it is a stranger. I'm not sure how the probable cause would work out but I would imagine that if you are seen picking up a woman in an area known for prostitution and or drugs it may be enough for them to search your car. If that happens and she has drugs you will probably be screwed.
If you do get pulled, as I have been, just stay calm and remember to be respectful. Answer all questions with a sir or mam and if you are asked where you are going say that you were leaving a bar and wanted to grab something quick to eat. If you are told that you are going in the opposite direction or the place (try to name a restaurant if you can) tell the officer that you decided to save yourself the calories.
What a strange cruising day. I had some free time, but figured the cold would have everyone stuck inside. I picked up Shannon behind the fertilizer plant. Though there used to be one other brunette calling herself Shannon, this is the skinnier one who resembles Gabby.

I was impressed with her personable manner. She gave me a little hug and kiss when I dropped her off and seemed genuinely bummed to not have completed the mission.
So, I ran a couple of errands, came back and FINALLY, found Ashley again on Bragg St. She got booted from the house she was in. We went to my spot for another GREAT session. She's getting good at switching up and using the twins, which feels awesome.
Here's the bad news. She is probably moving away soon. She says her BF wants to go back and live with his family and get their shit together. That's good for them, but bad for us. She said it could be 3 days or 3 weeks, but that it was happening. So if you see her out, get her before she's gone!

Coming from a bar? So now you have really raised his suspicion. You are not obligated to say anything. The burden of proof is on the officer, not you. Loose lips sink ships. And why lie when you don't have to. "Officer, I'm giving the lady a ride" Afterall, that is what you are doing. You don't have to state what your intentions are, where too, or anything else. If he wishes to up the anty and arrest you for giving someone a "suspicious ride" let him. what he will likely try and do, is pull you and the lady apart, trying to match stories, search for drugs and so on. My response would be simple and to the point and truthful. "I was giving the lady a ride" His next question...."Where too?" My response...."I don't know yet as you pulled me over before we got to the where too." Did I do anything wrong officer by offering the lady a ride?" He will pressure you into admiting you know she is a prositute, all the while you need not respond. You have already asnwered his question, now turn it on him.....again, "did I do anything wrong officer?" Keep it simple stupid is to theme here. Do not ramble on about she is your long lost love, you met in a bar, you thought she was your sister, it is all insulting to the officer's intelligence and will lead to more prying and a possible arrest.
Sounds like Robert1744 found everthing I didnt'. I didn't see anyone but Shannon when she was on Garner road and a Monger in a cowboy hat beat me to her. didn't see her agian after that. I checked the ABS on capital at 5:30pm and found nothing there at that time. after 2 hours called it quits and went home.
