Though, I don’t use the “Lay down the tip” method everywhere. For whatever reason, I use a different procedure depending on the establishment. For example at IHC (where the provider takes you to your room and collects the house fee) I always hand her the tip separately and right after handing her the house fee. Places outside of DC I normally don’t bring out the money till after or until it is asked for.

thanks for that info. From your original post, I got the impression that it was only hj and didn't expect more than that even after reading the city paper ad which emphasized massage. I was definitely quoted 80 for 1/2hr and 150/hr over the phone. However, it does appear that tips are not expected, so I'll keep that in mind next time.

If I were you I'D take the metro downtown, From Crystal City take a blue line all the way to McPherson square. Downtown is across Mcpherson square on 1018 vermont. Or turn left on K street and walk down to the new "1413" spa. Trugsbear and Mr.Jon give it good reviews.

The metro stops running on weekdays at midnight. So figure on taking a cab back to Crystal City. It will be worth the 25-30 bucks, Also for a beer check out Archibalds on K street Between 14-15th? or if you are adventrous check out clix bar. From downtown spa take a left on L street and you'll see it toward the end of the block. You can pick up some SW action from clix, normally after 10PM. Regulars please correct my math and geography if I'm wrong, I never pay attention where I'm at, I just know where I'm going:-)

SF street prices vary by location. In the Tenderloin, tops is about .6 CBJ, $ CFS. In the Mission, about half that. Sometimes you luck into better deals. Are DC street prices comparable?
