This was someone fairly new to the community who hadn't yet established credibility. He was questionable at best, so the senior members who brought the UTRs into the game chose not to share with him. Unfortunately someone else who was only given the info to use, not to share, decided he could share it anyways. And thus the questionable monger got it.
Why is that a problem? I posted the UTR 101 in the Newbie Guide to answer that question and describe the etiquette. In order to protect the UTR, digits / passwords shouldn't be handed out to just anyone. It's a subjective decision to know who to give digits to, but there are some objective things a responsible person helping the UTR should look for before passing out digits. At a minimum the requesting monger should be a senior member that has demonstrated maturity, respect for women, and would not compromise the UTR in anyway. In the aforementioned incident, the monger begging for the contact info did not demonstrate any of those things. The senior members decision to not pass along info on his first and repeated requests ended up being justified. The monger proved without a shadow of a doubt he was an undeserving troll. A troll who loves acting like a dope. Let's make up a name for him, like TrollLover420. It's fitting. If you were to read TrollLover420's posts it reeks of immaturity, lack of respect for anyone, and absolutely no regard for the UTR's privacy. Literally, go read his words. I take a little caution with this post, not because I care all that much who I offend, but it may come across as an unpopular opinion.
Passwords are the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard of.
In my entire hobbying experience I've never needed a password to see a provider. And I've seen a number of the women that fall under the supposed "password" requirement without your beloved password. And almost every single one of those providers was a bust.
Everyone has their preferences, so if you like the whole password thing, whatever. But to cast this idea that passwords somehow protect the woman in question is a fucking joke. First, they want money, not a password. Second, I'm sure the majority of people on this board have never met a single monger in real life or can vouch for them beyond posts they make. Third, I would contest that whomever is creating the password isn't doing it for the woman in question, it's 100% for the password keeper's own personal benefit.
In fact, I'll go as far to say that the password thing is hurting this hobby more than it helps.
Look for yourselves. Just how many of these "password protected UTR" providers actually have a decent track record, are drug free, don't have significant comm issues and are somewhat reliable. Maybe that's your thing, you want to be first or next or feel special because you're part of a club by which a password gets you VIP access. I don't buy a plain cheeseburger from McDonalds thinking it's a Ribeye so I guess you should know what you're getting if you participate.
There are some great UTRs that have come and gone and needed no password or affiliation with any specific monger needed.
So why do I think it's wrecking the hobby? Because this isn't being done out of the kindness of people's hearts. At best it's getting a finders fee or free service. At worst it's the same thing as a damn handler. You don't like pimps you say? Then stop with the passwords.
Just an opinion, at the end of the day I've learned a few things in this hobby. First, many guys are assholes. As much as it sucks for the women who have to deal with them constantly, you're making it a whole lot easier for decent individuals to get a much better experience. Second, women who use passwords will never see a dime from me again. Even though I didn't use a password the service and experience wasn't worth any price. Third, the password is not to benefit you, it's to benefit someone else. And it's not the lady in question either.
Regardless, please stay safe out there. Many guys are assholes but you don't have to be. Instead of treating these situations like you're going to hit it til they quit it, you might see some decent providers stick around longer.
As long as a lady is linked to password, it's a giant red flag to me and makes it a lot easier to not engage further. But best of luck to you all.

I am going to give my perspective on passwords now that I am now being brought into it.
Passwords are used by handlers and those that are looking for freebies. Now its up to the girl to decide if they are going to oblige with those requests from those gentlemen, and I hate to even refer to these guys as gentlemen. I look at them like the pimps they are TRYING to be. Most are fat washed up old men who feel power behind a keyboard and looking for a blow job here and there.
Most girls are naïve and are willing to do whatever to make money and see passwords as a "safe" way of doing so. I can tell you that they DON'T work 100% and they only lead to bigger headaches a lot of the time. Just look at Debra Hollander or Zara? Does they use a passwords? Look at their reviews and their verification process, do you ever hear about these providers ever having any issues? In this example it seems the best way that would be handled is all back channel, message a couple friends. Never needs to be on the board at all. When it gets to the open board posting the motives and appearance of "pimping" becomes much more notable. If it's an "UTR" and just want a "couple of guys" why broadcast it on the open board at all? Why not just keep it in your close circle or the "team" as I've seen it referred to here?

Private Parts. You bring up good points. The risk of providing general remarks means that they don't fit every single person or provider. None of my negative remarks about password hoarding (or is it whoring?) pertain to people who doing it in the interest of the provider.
I still think passwords are stupid AF. How someone can determine the validity of another individual on this forum simply by the remarks they make is beyond me. I want nothing to do with people who use it for their own personal benefit. To say that everyone is using it to their own personal benefit was a bit too much, but why'all got to It does happen . And probably more so than you may be led to believe.
I've had to communicate via email with providers to gain their trust. Send a PM in this forum. Use another provider for reference. But a password from one member to another does not validate a client for a provider. At best you may think it does. At worst it's no different than a handler. Maybe we will have to agree to disagree there LOL.
Personally I'd prefer to keep you all out of my discussions with the beautiful women of GR and although the thought of a hot threesome is appealing, it unfortunately doesn't include you. Two ladies you bet, but not you.
The best providers you hear about on these forums don't use passwords because they don't need to. They find ways to ensure they see reasonable clients and not assholes. And per other posts it sounds like there's great providers that aren't reviewed here because they are truly UTR.
To each their own. It's pretty easy for me, I've found some people have the same experience I do with someone and it helps me to understand who I may want to visit based on the trustworthiness of their other posts. There are those I don't trust.
Some of the worst experiences I've had were from providers being unnecessarily promoted, many with a password.
Every single one of my great experiences didn't require the help of another member or password to make it happen.
Maybe I'm just lucky, but I think for me it's a pretty tried and true method to just go on my own and not let someone else moderate.

One more quick note that I didn't include earlier. If you have to be "friends" with someone to get a password don't you think you should know that person personally like actually have met the person? What classifies you as a friend of anyone then, your keyboard skills? I know I have personally seen certain "friends of" and they were the biggest assholes I have ever met and they got the boot quickly. Again verification is a very simple safe process if done correctly and efficiently.
I understand there are certain mongers out here that genuinely have the providers best interest at heart and want to help them out,These guys actually pay for the service. I am certainly not saying that all password holders are like this but in my experience certain ones only want free services or actually they expect it. I also believe that giving digits vs passwords is a BIG difference. Giving a girls number to a select few people that you can trust is different than having control of passwords and who can and cannot see your UTR. That is where the line gets crossed, when you start to encroach in the negotiations (ie asking to give discounts to certain friends) and also essentially picking the clientele for the provider.
Again my warning for all. If you are seeing a provider with a "password" handler you are only asking for trouble. If someone offers to give your number to a select few people to help you out that's a totally different situation and obviously a relationship has been built between the provided and the person handing out the number.
Looking at all the aspects of safety and I can understand how people would think a password is a safe bet but obviously that has now been proven to be fake news.

I've been here in GR for a year now, starting from scratch, and although I've gotten some digits privately from several of our senior members, I've never even asked for a UTR's yet, for a couple reasons - 1) I don't have the play budget to do this very often. I play with permission, and try to keep it moderate, and 2) because of that, I usually can't jump right on a new UTR as they pop up on the radar from Benz or the others, and 3) I still feel like I'm building that rapport and trust in this forum by seeing known providers and providing accurate reviews when I see them to share to others. I try to be the example I'd like others to be. If only we all did that.
I am fairly new to USASG, but I'm over twenty years in the hobby. Patience and respect go way further. These young idiots ruin it for everyone. I hope the moderators hurry up and delete this riff-raff. They are a cancer and need to be cut out, and we know they'll start over with new profiles, but at least they won't be senior members anymore, and it will be obvious who they are before they can re-establish that rank.
For you guys with the UTR's. Thanks for the efforts and keeping them safe. I for one appreciate the efforts and hope to indulge some day with them, whether they are UTR or come out as a full provider.

I would say I've left more bad reviews of Benz's UTRs I've seen than good reviews. It hasn't affected my ability to get referrals from him. Most of us don't require obedience. Its not a cult. Be respectful and truthful. Don't mistreat the girl so she stays active.

Forum engines I've used have that feature. Yes, they can use other sources but eventually you run out of alternate IPs. Paying for a proxy that changes IPs constantly is likely beyond what these children will bother with.

It's really quite a shame the immaturity of a lot of these guys is what it is. You don't have to like each other, but we are all trying to help each other. Trolls should be broomed swiftly and made examples of. Maybe we need more admins who could jump on it quicker. Being gone for a week it took me over an hour to wade through the whining BS from the same very few jerks who as usual, have nothing positive to provide, only attacking anyone and everyone.

Hopefully they improve and don't fuck up and when they do we need real reviews like Monger01's to give us the real story.
If they screw up I'll be the first to say so. It's been awhile but it happens. Back when Lilliana was A UTR, fucking up and playing her games. Pretty girl knows the hobby well and hopped to get away with some bullshit. When a member asked about had anyone seen this one? I said don't go see her and Realtree40 had bad stories to match.

It was basically just a comment since everyone was talking about UTRs that day and was in no way meant to be disrespectful. If you read my reviews, I try to be open and honest and fair, even if it means saying a provider didn't live up to my expectations. Other side of that coin is I will give high praise when one goes above and beyond or does something that impresses me even if it is something little like being extra friendly or talkative.
