If you are patient and have enough time to spend researching, replying to messages and are careful, you will have success on SA depending on what you're looking for. One thing to keep in mind, SA is not an escort site.

Secret Benefits apparently has a little less BS and they're slightly more likely to reply b / c they get less messages but they don't have nearly the number of girls to choose from. The difference is in a month on SA you could contact 100 potentials versus 10 on SB and probably your conversion rate to the FC is not that much different. SA has more BS but a lot more opportunities and better value. Half the SB girls are also on SA BTW so it's not even a unique talent pool they have.
Also, go to the Richmond SA thread, that's the ultimate handbook for this, including an FAQ. Use that to educate yourself on how to go about to have success and avoid being scammed and taken for a ride.
The Nashville site, and possibly nationally has become over run with pic sellers. They've gotten more clever also, in that they pretend to be out of town or some reason they can't meet immediately, though they create the expectation they will next week or what have you. You buy the pics to show good faith and prove you're real and This is a scam, these girls are not likely anywhere near Nashville and when they can get money for pics will never meet you anyway. The difference, though, is that if you approach the regular college type girls on SA as you would an acknowledged working girl, it will not go well most of the time. There are pros on SA now, of course, and scammers as well, but there are also regular college girls who have a fantasy idea about a sugar daddy. Some of those girls end up having many SD's and become kind of UTR girls. Others have one and done, just a few, etc. So, it's all over the place but there can be some amazing experiences. You just have to approach it differently, have some game beyond just the cash. But, as A2 said, it will always require the cash!

Sometimes they seem to put it on there simply as one of their options; I also think that some list that in case friends or family find the profile.
Now if they write a thesis on being purely platonic, then that's another matter.
