A Davenport woman accused of killing her boyfriend will go back on trial Aug. 6. The first trial of Megan Price for second-degree murder ended earlier this month with a hung jury. The new trial date was set during a brief hearing Friday in Scott County District Court.

Price, 21, admitted to police and in court that she killed her boyfriend, Allen Christopher Johnson, 34, of Davenport, on Jan. 5. Price maintains she killed Johnson in self-defense after she was abused physically for months during their 11-month relationship.

A Scott County jury deliberated for parts of three days during Price's first trial, before notifying Judge Mark Smith on June 9 that a verdict couldn't be reached. Attorneys on both sides said then that a plea agreement in the case was unlikely and that a new trial was expected.

Unusually dead tonite. Cruised for about thirty minutes and saw a couple of the same older BSW. The older 40 plus are just not for me. The number in the CL ad is the same one she gave me. She is rather cute. 1000% better than all but one of the girls I saw out on my last trip to town. Guess as the old saying goes YMMV.
