According to very reliable sources, the Room decided to do their 'remodeling' after their court hearing over Sharkey's in order to comply to the best of their abilities with the letter of the law (his words, not mine) and not draw any more unwanted attention. They're REALLY concerned with being shut down, at this point. Personally, I'm not sure if they can survive trying to run the place this way for long.

Rumor also has it that Kevin (who owns the Harem, as well as the carry out / drive thru behind it) is planning on reopening the place and doing a Diamond's type, full nude thing with it.

The reason Cheek's is scanning IDs is so they can keep track of who they've barred, supposedly. Still sounds like a seriously stupid way to do it, but that's just my opinion.

Seems like an easy way to keep banned people out of their club.

Cheeks is definitely more conservative today than 3-10 years ago. However, with any dancer YMMV and have had some success with extras. Do need to be cautious with camera and depend if they are watching. And if banned then banned. NYNY can be more liberal at times and BBBJ was in the VIP area with attractive AA women. 15 min NYNY VIP is $75 + $25 house. I've very infrequently done Cheeks VIP as bit more expensive and really haven't had significant extra luck with that route there. Versus the Harem where the VIP was open game for extra fun.

Heard from 4-5 Reliable, inside people at cheeks that Eric resigned this week. I'm not saying it is a fact, but pretty sure that it is true. I think I saw him early on Thursday but he was not There on Friday

I'm pretty sure that I look to be above 21 years old. Be very interesting to see if they continue this ludicrous practice that has severely hurt business now that Erik is gone.

Went to Cheeks on Saturday night. Kinda lame crowd for a weekend night, but things have been like that in the declining SC scene for a couple years now. Dancer selection was not very impressive, there were a few lookers but they were so busy in the lap room that I barely saw them after I got there.

Unless the owner can get that resolved, I would be surprised if it re-opens.

I am still doing a little more digging. Will update if I hear anything of substance.
