The Thomson's Gazelle is the world's fastest antelope and can do 50 mph. Unfortunately, for the Thomson's Gazelle, the Cheetah can do 70 mph. I am such a softy that I still tear up at the thought of Bambi's mother getting shot. Nevertheless, the sight of a Cheetah going 70 mph and taking down a Thomson's Gazelle doing 50 mph is nothing shot of awesome. The Cheetah's stride is nothing short of magnificent and its backbone simply moves like a spring. But being the softy that I am, I did not photograph the actual kill. Just think about it though. If you are going 65 mph down the Interstate, a Cheetah will pass you up! Here is one shot of a Cheetah that I took after a successful kill.

Did everyone leave and forget to turn out the lights? Is it the weather or is the whole place in a slump.

I have an observation to make. No big deal, but just something I have always noticed and thought was funny: In so many of these girls' BP photos, there is always either dirty laundry, trash, size 14 Jordans, or other misc. This will be my last photo of my trip to East Africa. Hopefully A2 will indulge me one more time. This bull elephant was about to charge me because he was pissed that I was getting too close. The guides say that 99 times out of 100, the elephant will do a mock charge. But in the back of your mind you are always wondering if this will be the 100th time. That's why you practice getting back into the Land Rover as quickly as possible. Even an old fucker like me can move fast when a 12,000 pound bull elephant is aiming his tusks at your ass. I really wanted to get a photo of a rhino charging me, but the guide would have no part of it. He said that rhino's eyesight is so poor that they do not mock charge. They charge and ask questions later. So I decided to skip the rhino charge and to live for another day!
