Nothing but LEO
Came out of Boston late, around midnight Swung up Dot ave past bk, circled back and down Columbia to the park. Cruisers parked, cruisers cruising, followed by a statey for a half dozen blocks. They've got to be going somewhere else, but where? I'd love to have the resources to hit up backpage but as that old song goes I'm on a low budget. Oh well, saving dough coming up empty.

Tried to do a double while strolling BHA and Dot Ave. I swear, I must've lost 7 LBS this week alone pounding the pavement. Scored on BHA with an decent, but average looking BSW for $20, but it was a no-go on Dot Ave. No SWS at all from Andrew on towards Fields Corner. My gut is telling me to throw in the towel only because they get scooped up quite quickly there. NO chance for a stroller like me. Anyway, looking to spread my wings possibly to Worcester. I haven't been out there in a while. I'm sure I'll be welcomed with open arms!
You can be supportive of change, but unless they want it, theres nothing you can really do.
It's a chemical / physical dependency that just increases with each use. Unless they break that cycle, the need will eventually take them,
Even after the physical need is gone, the mental dependency will always be there.
Are you speaking from experience or what you have heard on TV?
I can see you are trying to be helpful and informative, but you are 100% wrong. The "mental depedency" is associated with the drug itself. Therefore if you do not use the drug for an extended period of time, the dependency on it will vanish.
However, you are correct in stating that you cannot help an addict who doesn't wish to be helped.
I have been free of drugs and booze for well over 10 years and can say with conviction that I haven't had a "mental dependecy" on them in damn near 9. 5 years.
Sorry for the rant, I just cannot stand when people say things as if they are facts.

Sorry for the rant, I just cannot stand when people say things as if they are facts.
I think it's a bit more complicated than that. Most commonly abused drugs seriously screw up your serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine levels. Eventually you reach the point where the receptors are unable to function with the normal amounts of these neural transmitters, and you have a chemical dependency. If they started using heavily around or before puberty, the drug (s) are much more likely to cause irreparable damage to some of the still developing receptors in the brain. Also a lot of drug addicts are subconsciously self medicating for a chemical imbalance. In those cases simply having time away from their drug (s) of choice won't make much of a difference. These are the people that NA or AA, or simple drug counseling can not help. They need a combination of counseling and psychiatric medications (ie Dual Diagnoses). Now if you started using in your 20's, than this is less likely to occur, and simply having time away from the drug (s) may allow the receptors to recover. With these people once detoxed it is more of a mental dependency, and these are the ones who will benefit from just counseling.
Addiction medicine is really a very complicated, and controversial subject.
Stay safe, and happy hunting.

Stay safe, and happy hunting.
Of course it is more complicated. My response was based on the generality of the statement that was made. Personally, I used heavy drugs for a good 3 years straight in my 20's. A person that uses for 20 years is not going to just quit one day and be fine, a lot more damage has been done. However, a 20 yo that has being doing drugs for say. 3-5 years, has a much greater chance of recovering and leading a life free of the need to use. I know multitudes of people that prove this point, myself included. I will agree that some of these girls are too far gone to be saved, but to lump them all in the same pile is just an uneducated thing to do. Addiction treatment is a very involved science, it is not so cut and dry as the OP had made it seem. The causes of addiction also varies from person to person. A chemical imbalance is just one cause.
What I will say is that some of the things these girls do will in fact keep them using for extended periods of time in turn making them harder to "save". It is a vicious cycle. Turn a trick to get high, get high to forget. Rinse and repeat.

Tonight cruise
Cruised through blue hill ave and there were a few out but werent worth scooping, then I headed to dot ave. Where I noticed some who I used to frequent, like black gina, and asian nicole. Black gina stole from me so I won't mess with her no more, and asian nicole is asian nicole. I was lucky to spot a latina walking down washington close to Columbia who I scooped up. Now thats a story for you, anyway. Forty bones for covered BJ, and doggy. She was a big gurl but the va jay jay was good. Gave her the wrong number so I won't repeat.

Finally Did It. Whooo!
Last night after 1AM, I gave Andrew Sq. Another shot. Strolled up towards the bridge, but didn't see anything until I got towards the Europa. Spotted a WSW sitting on some steps watching cars go by. Her name is "Carol" so she says. Took her to a spot where she gave me a great BBBJ and some doggystyle action all for the tune of $30. Success!. I knew sooner or later it would happen. Now, the search for Asian Nicole is on my "to do" list...... TONIGHT!
Be safe and watch out for LE!

Be careful on DOT Ave
http://www.dotnews.com/2012/police-take-demand-side-sex-trade-along-dot-ave
Anyone ever picked up the youngish looking BSW who does her walk at a fast pace and always has her hair wrapped. I usually see her between Freeport and Fields Corner?

Glad to hear you've been clean for 10 years without that urge. But everybody's not you.
It's very easy to fall back into old habits for some or even most, so don't assume that if I did it, it works the same for everybody.
'cause it don't.
