I grew up in NE Ohio and ran with a group that was born into the various FAMILIES of the area. Once you were accepted into the FAMILY as an outsider by your buddies FAMILY you were told how to handle things correctly. One thing that was stated to me was that when you chose to leave, you do it 1 of 3 ways. Honorably and amicably, shunned and lastly by death. Usually 2 and 3 went hand in hand.
So I chose the 1st and just walked away and left it behind me. I never needed money and always had a way to get out of trouble. But it had a price. That being said. I wanted out to have a long miserable life. LOL.
