I look at the reported posts 3-4 times a day, if you just reported it I could get rid of it right away but instead I have to look through the forum and see which one of you guys decided to make an entertaining comment about her, then how many guys quoted that guy, then that guy.
Just report it, ignore them, move on. The way information is perceived online, when you comment them you actually help them, study after study has shown when you quote a false positive claim to rebut it people are only reinforced by the false positive claim. That is a simple message "this thing is good" you're rebuttal is more complex, "that thing is not good and these are the reasons why" the takeaway in 90% of the cases isn't going to be "this thing is not good" the take away is going to be "this thing is good."
Calling them out helps them, it encourages them to post more, your attempt at being smarter than everybody is the thing that is creating the problem. Please stop doing it.
