Tampa strip club fire ruled an arson

TAMPA -- The suspicious fire this morning at the Platinum Showgirls Club that caused more than $250,000 in damage has been ruled an arson, Tampa Fire Rescue said.

Investigators from the state Fire Marshal's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives spent the morning combing the scene for what started the fire, which shuttered the club just as Super Bowl week is gearing up. A fire marshal dog detected an accelerant on the scene, leading firefighters to believe the blaze was set intentionally.

I remember once a dancer at the Tanga wanted to see the other dance clubs. It took us several weekends to hit all other other dance clubs operating in those days. The Tanga dancer got lots of offers for free dances from the other dancers. And I met some really hot dancers at the clubs we visited.

Yes but she was not arrested at the club. She was arrested at Westshore & Cypress I think. She was arrested with some dude and a 17 y.o. female.

Well on my way home from Orlando I stopped by Lipstixx. First time in the new location (show's how long its been since I was in that place. It was over near the airport back then. Maybe 12 years ago. I'm getting old! )

Anyway, it was pretty dead considering it was less than 24 hours before the Super Bowl. About 8 girls working and only about 3 where actually "working" the room. The rest sat and talked to each other more than anything else. 2 nice looking sisters (at least they said they were sisters) but not very good at getting a fool to part with his money (LOL). I did finally head in the back room for old time's sake with one of the more experienced ladies and she did not disappoint. Still the same old Lipstixx. Covered fun 2 different ways and 3 songs later I was out the door for a total donation (house and tip included) about what you'd pay for half hour with most CL's girls these days.

I just hope for the girls sake that business is better after the game Sunday night than it was Saturday night. Otherwise I think they will have missed out on that big boost to the local economy the game was supposed to bring. Oh well, it's nice to know that after all these years, some Tampa traditions remain!

Will be passing thru tampa in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone knows if Janice is still at the stixx?

I would lke to hear any reports on how the girls did during this super bowl weekend, because I'm coming down south later this week and was originally thinking of swinging through Tampa on my way to Miami. But I'm thinking most of them might be taking off several days to consume their big wads of cash, or at least the good ones will. I'll be in Miami for the weekend, and if I got some left I might swing through next sunday on the way back and lay some bills on some honies while taking a little break from the road.

I remember the first time I went in there this gorgeous woman was sitting there all smiles butt naked. I hear you. My "first time" came when I was in the Tanga, many many moons ago, at the tender age of 18. I had my eye on a fine young black girl, and she came over and suggested we take it outside. Visting town, I had a decent Scarlett's/YS experience.

Full nude, full-contact, no alcohol.

$15 cover, two drink minimum (non-alcoholic drinks are $5 each), $10 house fee for each session to cover the "room", which is a cubicle with a curtain.

Dances were advertised at 3/$50, but I managed to negotiate volume discounts with each girl prior to getting rooms with them.

You can try Mons Venus, 2001 Odessey, Ybor, Seven Seas, many places along Adamo Drive (route 60) but YMMV and there is no one "consistent" place in Tampa that I am aware of. You may have better luck reding the St Pete, Sarasota and Orlando Boards. Good Luck and enjoy your time in town.

Those are the two big strip clubs that Tampa is famous for and that attract the tourists. I think YMMV depending on when you go and who you know, but you are 100% correct that there may be better places for value out there.
