Saw this ad today. She answered right away and I was literally 10 minutes away. Seemed way TGTBT. Got to the address on Irving Park and when I rang the bell she told me I needed a deposit. You can read the text exchange. I walked away.

Speaking of Irving Park, is anyone familiar with what looks like an apartment spot at precisely Irving and Broadway on the NE corner? Address is 4003 and Broadway Ave Ste 207. Shows up as Royal Thai Wellness. They have a neon sign lit in the second floor window saying Massage / Open. This was at 11 pm. Saw this back in the day too, but it went away for awhile until now. They come up on Yelp and have a website, also all of the google reviews are very recent, but I couldn't find much more than that.
Let me know, I may check it out myself later if I feel like it and report back.

But there's an even bigger issue: the deluded guys that send deposits are causing an absolute [B]*flood*[/B] of scammer ads. It's getting impossible to actually get through a day's worth of listcrawler ads, (the new ones show up faster than I can look at the existing, and that's with experience and tastes that let me bail quickly on a large portion of ads) and it's because there's so many ads now and 1/2 to 3/4, maybe even more, more are fake. Yes, this is blaming the victim, that makes in no less accurate.

It's evidently a google warning, "Deceptive Website Warning. " In Safari, you can turn it off in Settings- security- warn when visiting a fraudulent web site- uncheck the box.

I'd take pics of the text screen and block the number and any similar ones that may follow. Not a bad idea to use a burner phone that you pay cash for.
