Thanks MJ, you are so sweet. I agree that CL has been a great source for the independents. They are able to post pics, availability, and rates that can be seen by a wide range of potential clients. How else but by the internet could these girls reach such a large audience?

It appears obvious that the growth of CL advertising has directly affected the escort service business. That's too bad for them. The independents provide better service and for the most part are better quality. Why else would the services try to post phony ads pretending to be independents?

Great point Alissa. I've written in the past about the services that have used the ol' "bait and switch" (which seems to be the case with regard to Rhea, at least), and the infamous "al a carte upsell". Not that an independent can't do the same, but they get quickly exposed for those practices on CL or a board like this.

The time for escort services may be coming to an end because of such things as CL, and good riddence. I guess a poor slob like this Brian is just trying to keep a dying breed from vanishing, but I think the cards are stacked against him in the long run.

Thanks for the info on editing the ad and also hitting best of craigslist, I'm able to at least stay up for an hour at a time. Just enough to get a few call arounds. It is a big hassle to constantly have to edit every few minutes and check my ad every five minutes hes driving me nuts with all this flagging. Probaly more so me because I did used to work for him so its probaly some personal vendetta against me for leaving. I mean he probaly thinks this is funny and a game to him and doesn't even stop to think that this is our means of money and how we live. This is our job and I'm sure other providers and myself are really starting to feel the effects of this since it has been going on for quite some time now! I remember the days when I would get up in the morning post one ad and wouldn't have to get back on and check on it more less worrie about getting flagged. I mean some other cities were terrible with the flaggin but memphis was always pretty good. I guess mutual respect from all the girls! Well sorry to say looks like those days are long gone as long as BRIANS around and not getting any business threw his lines. I have even tryed posting all differnt times of the day, and within one hour I am flagged. Is this even possible I mean you think he would have to move from his computer at some point. Just venting a bit please forgive me guys its frustrating.

I was thinking that every time I posted he would get some type of signal or bell on his computer & he could "flag" away. The flagg button needs to be removed!

What category are you guys flagging under? It seems to me that each one would carry different weight as to get the ad off of CL. I would think that "Prohibited" would get an ad off CL quicker than "Spam/Over Post"

I have tried all of them, like each ad I flag each of them and hit the refresh button! I continue this a few times.

Ive been flagging under Spam/Overpost. I thought the same thing about "Prohibited",but it seems like Spam/Overpost works better. If you can tell which one is faster please let us know.

Sorry Michelle, I feel your frustration. You are an excellent provider, and that close-up shot of you in that low cut black top is possible my all-time favorite picture (see [b]Escort Classified Ads[/b] section, post #721).
