You might want to watch a couple of youtube videos about casual conversation, and figure out what works for you. Ideally, you want to ask them questions that are surface level, not too private, that allow them to talk about themselves. How long have they worked there, do they like the job, how do you deal with customers that do XYZ. A lot of the time, these girls are bored as hell and are asked the same 5 questions all day long, everyday, so try to mix it up. Make sure to bring cash and tip them if you have never talked to them before for sitting with you, or during their rounds. All the girls talk to each other, and if you are a terrible tipper, they will start avoiding you like the plague.

Lastly, try to be presentable and smell nice. Don't give them reasons to avoid sitting with you.

Some girls have no personality, and are just boring. These jobs usually require them to sit at a table with a customer for a set amount of time, so if you have tried to talk to them and they just respond with one word answers, pull out your phone and ignore them. That will at least prevent them from trying to sit with you again in the future.

I sometimes ask them do they like or hang out with their coworkers. Sometimes they will tell you some juicy gossip.

Also, I always try to see if they will meet OTC. So ask them things like if they work anywhere else, or if they ever meet their customers outside. A lot of them like EDM so that can be something to bond over.
