I think it's more due to a few rude or aggressive clients. You sound like a decent guy, I think that's the important part of what they want by the stipulation. It wouldn't hurt to call and talk to her for a couple of minutes, she might find you interesting and not what she thought.

Most actually see black guys they know and trust. I don't think it's a dislike of black men. So I agree talk to her ever offer references if you can. As long as she feels comfortable I think you'll be alright.

If I wanted to go out begging for a date only to get shut down, I'd just go to a regular club or bar hitting on regular women to get that, LOL. If I had the same mentality as they had, I wouldn't even be able to participate in this hobby since I've gotten scammed and screwed over by every nationality, I can't write them all off because I ran into a bad one, or a few. Screen people on the phone, you can get a good feel for how they are from that, I'd think that would be enough, but I understand, people have to do what's comfortable for them even if it makes no sense to me.
Plus, it's kind of like, if they are already showing that mentality, I doubt I'd get a good session from them anyway if they're going to be going into it reluctantly or on edge expecting the worst. I've gone into sessions before like that where they were just waiting for the boogeyman to jump out at any second, and that's no good at all. It just is what it is, got to write them off, I can't go begging to spend my money with a woman that more than likely won't treat me right just because of what I look like.
The others that WILL see me, they love me, always tell me to call them back, or they call me whenever they're in the area. But you know, we're in this hobby for the variety. While I love my regulars, my selection is limited to those same three or four over and over for years, it would be nice to have more variety available. Okay, no more ranting, back to business, LOL.

The paying part reminded a curiosity I always had. When I was stationed in Shanghai, you always paid after, to ensure you get good service (=tip more). But here, it seems providers always asked for payment up front, and sometimes you end up with a 5 min session. What do you guys usually do? Is it kosher to show the money but not pay before the session?

If I'm asked to, the best I will do for them is give them half of a normal tip, then tell them depending on the service, the other half will come after I do. If the service is better than normal, then the other half will be better than normal. I want my provider to know that the more she puts into it, the more she will get out of it, but she will always get at least the other half added to the first half.
