I think everyone here knows what the laws are and possibly what the ordinance in Louisville requires. Now check the number of ads on BP and elsewhere and factor that into your consideration of the regard (or lack of it) that some of the girls here locally show. This is not a criticism, guys, but a simple observation. You can advertise where and how you like, but you're responsible for the response you get.

"Bodyrub" and massage therapy are not the same thing, incidentally. I don't want to bore you with what that difference is, but there is a legal difference. The smart girls in this profession know what that difference is and can defend it if and when the time comes.

As far as Uncle LEO's attention, remember that licensed agencies start out being treated as providing a legal service. This doesn't mean that LEO's not paying attention of course (we are escorts, after all,) but that they understand that agencies are far more likely to remain professional, discreet and legal because we took the time to arrange our business that way in the beginning. This is why you rarely if ever hear of a licensed escort being arrested.

The same cannot be said for independents (which neither state law or local ordinance treat as legal) or those companies operating without a license. Their advertisements alone are what LEO concentrates on as possible violations of the law, guys. I think this is the reason why some of you guys do the check for real photos and telephone numbers. Several of the local street girls, as well as a house that's located within blocks of our Clubhouse, have been arrested and raided by LEO since early summer of this year. A. B. E has never had the pleasure of having our girls or our clients guided gently out the door in handcuffs by LEO. And none of our girls have been cited for prostitution. Ever. That alone should give you some idea of the difference between the professional and the careless.

It is possible to be too cheap (from the standpoint of business owners and working girls.) The investment we make on being licensed on the front end pays on the back end; at least that has proven to be true with A. B. E. I cannot speak to other agencies (and won't try to speak for them.)

If your girl goes cheap on the front end, they (and their clients) pay on the back end. I watch local television and read the papers just like you, and you know instinctively that this is true. You guys essentially control the quality of the services provided in this market. If the girls operate under a "more for less" model, then the measure of safety in this market is impacted accordingly. I want you to take a moment and visualize the following:

All the girls in the local market take the time to invest in a license to work as escorts. All the companies handling these escorts are likewise licensed. Clients and girls meet and spend time together privately under the protection of a license. Now imagine LEO's initial response to this.

When you don't have to explain anything, fellas, there's nothing to explain. All it takes is a bit of insight.
