No site is bullet proof and backpage is an example of that. If a monger is willing to take the time and due diligence, he can find exactly what he is looking for on backpage. What we have here, however is a situation where most guys don't fully read the forum and / or use the tools to vet BP girls or any girls. Mongers get lazy and sloppy and we don't fully investigate the girls so when backpage is your catalog of choice there are increased chances of getting scammed. When you investigate thoroughly, BP is a good tool for the first look, then you should use other sites, google search, photo search, etc. To find out more about her before she shows up at your door. And I absolutely agree with you about the traveling girl. How would we ever find out she's here if we didn't browse BP.

There are a few cities I've been to where BP is damn near the only source. I put emphasis on the word "few. " Coincidentally, these same cities have little or nothing to offer on CL. It's a crap shoot either way most of the time. That's why we have these forums. If it were easy, we wouldn't need this site.

When I lived in LA, damn near half or more of the ads were real. Same thing when I've traveled to other cities. Here you have the agencies flooding BP and a lot of the girls that would be posting on BP in other cities don't here, they just hit the casinos. Not many real local girls post ads here.
