Never fallen for it, but definitely ticked me off the first time, when, like you, I got as far as the parking lot to find it out (the other 5 or so times, I stopped bothering to talk to them once they mentioned the gift card thing).

Last Friday, got to the parking lot at the agreed on time. Instead of giving me her room number, she asks me to wait for 45 minutes as an emergency came up. I am a nice guy. I went to the coffee shop and occupied myself for a bit. After 45 minutes, I took off. She got back to me after I left town apologizing.
So, tried again last night. Texted her I was 15 minutes away and she replied she was ready. Got to the parking lot and asked for the room number. A google site search for Goodgoody turned up two reviews, similar in that he is the sole reviewer and they were glowing reviews. Even more damning is the nearly identical fake Twitter accounts. He or they will get a new T E are handle and rinse and repeat. Too good to be true, you know how it goes. A single review from an unknown reviewer carries little weight alone.
