No thanks. I sent a number of these packing, once nearly getting into a fisticuffs with a driver.

There were also a bunch of outcall stripper agencies in those days: Best Shows, Cincy Seductions, etc, etc. (A few of these are still around.) Some of the girls from these agencies would provide extras. (I had good experiences with Cindy and Meisha of Cincy Seductions.) But you often ended up paying for a strip tease or a lame (no happy ending) massage. It was very hit or miss.

The only really reliable options then were the AMPs (a few near Dayton) and one or two legit agencies. But you could never see a pic in advance then. Some agency owners were honest in their descriptions, others not so honest.

Most people including me succumb to the thrill and excitement on backpage. The questions of what if and how real are very inticing. The difference for me is I tell them up front I will not play games or put up with stupid shit. I have learned over the years that if they are scams they usually won't fuck with me.
