So here goes. I am an older guy pushing 60. Have some issues like blood pressure and diabetes but not taking insulin. Started with viagra a few years ago with great results but lately even after taking the whole 100mg tab I get tuckered out a bit and cannot finish strong like before. Has anyone taken more than the 100mg? I read on the viagra website about some guy taking 200mg, two whole tabs, with no result. Thinking about using the 100mg and splitting another tab to 25mg or 50mg. Might consider Cialis or Levitra but research shows that if one didn't work the others may not either since they all work similarly. Info please.

They may want to take tests (like I don't know, just guessing maybe kidney function so you don't start blowing-out the nephrons) before giving the 'ok' for you to increase dosage.

IMHO, mongering just isn't worth the risk.

Luckily, the ED meds were originally made to control hypertension, how is that going? In regards to diabetes, vasodilation would also contribute to keeping the vascular system healthier than not. Of course, this is all based on theory as in "it's supposed to work" when compared to all the sales pitches these days on the magical healing powers of l-arginine, which is mild compared to the kick that the ED stuff provides. I am simply echoing the previous forum member's recommendation and refer to your PCP, especially if the ED stuff isn't even managing your hypertension. A good friend of mine, in his mid-30s, has ED due to diabetes and takes viagra as well as insulin. He chooses not to increase activity levels nor control it with his nutrition. His choice. I told him he could reverse his situation, but he's sold on meds and the american lifestyle of indulgence.

I understand that V was originally for blood pressure. Taking BP meds (oral) as well as blood sugar meds (again orally). Watching my diet somewhat cut down the alcohol (used to drink daily) and carbs (rice, bread, desserts) but it's been hard. Need to make time for exercise for sure and will hop on my bike starting today. Love the mongering and I do have my ATF who I am not ready to give up yet. Also enjoy some variety but I'm kind of picky. So I am renergized and ready to commit to more exercise and less food. Thanks everyone for the advice! I'll try to keep you informed. If you see more posts in the near future you'll know.

I am 10 years younger than you and don't have diabetes, and I am in reasonably good shape in terms of weight. I do exercise but not much cardio. I have done weights at the gym and some hot yoga. I experimented with 200 mg of counterfeit V just in the last few weeks. Whatever the danger overdose may have on blood pressure, I don't think the effect would be worth it. On a few occassions I did get really hard really quick. And could feel the flushing sensation of the pills. But not on other occassions. I think if I just wait and have patience and take the 100 mg pill on a truly empty stomach, the pill would work just fine. And if I have not taken the pill for a few days, the effect of the next pill may be enhanced. And vice versa. If I having been taking the pills for consecutive days, I feel that I may not feel the effect as strongly in the latter days. Strangely, effect of the "life" of 200 mg did not seem to be stronger than 100 mg. Meaning for the rest of the day or sleep or the next morning I do not feel the low blood pressure of 200 mg more strongly than 100 mg. When I have done hot yoga, sweating profusely for 90 minutes, it is hard to get it up even after rehydration later in the day and taking the pill. The system is just so drained.
