Just another good reason to stay away from backpage. You have to worry about bait and switch or getting busted or being robbed, who needs this. I have seen 2 BP / CL providers both were.

If these guys had just been smart enough to follow the rules, they wouldn't be crying, or asking themselves how stupid could they be. We pretty much know why these girls are on BP as escorts, so do you have to ask about services? I mean come on, it's just plain idiotic to ask anything. In fact I've made a point of telling provider's that I'm just coming for their companionship, and followed it up with "Right?" I mean if it's a cop they are going to try to trip you up and start talking about sex. The discussion of sex and money should never, ever be in the same discussion. All it has to be is implied, if she has her "donation" up on BP, or you ask her what it is, then ask her if she's GFE, then guess what? You can be arrested for solicitation. Even asking something as innocent such as "do you kiss?" is still implied and will get you busted. Also, I think that we're all smart enough to never hand them the money. Putting it in an envelope, or just leaving it in the bathroom out of the provider's sight, but then letting her see it to make sure she's not getting short-changed (you have no idea how often it happens) is the only way to handle the transaction. If you've ever had a bad experience with a provider 9 times out of 10 you can blame the monger before you that just stiffed her for a $. Sometimes LE will use a girl they just busted as a CI, and vice (sic) versa. But for the most part it's a small operation. If you read the article it was a girl and a dude in the hotel room as bait with two other's down the hall and a few others in the suite next door for backup and processing, and how many fish did they land. 37! What baffles me is that guys actually respond to ads based on what I call 'jigsaw puzzle' pics (face here, tits there, ass here, legs there). If you call up a chick when you really have no idea what she actually looks like, you deserve whatever bad shit happens to you! And the ridiculous rates makes it that much worse!
A word of advice: the article suggests that a lot of the guys who got caught where tryna get a quick fix durin their lunch break. I've learned that when it comes to netscort classifieds, thorough research is key! If you want to minimize the risk of a sting, fake pics, robbery, etc, you have to put in the time to find out whatever you can w / the number and pics. The old sayin is true: knowledge is power.
