LE, you know you were served the sanitized version. There were multiple live peep shows on every block in the area before Rudolph killed the action. The shows started out as you describe but eventually the glass in the peep window started disappearing and they became full contact teep shows. The closest thing I can think of in contemporary LA is a place that has been around forever on Lankershim in I guess NoHo just east of intersection with Victory. Forgot the name but Deja Vu operated it at least for awhile. It's more what they called "one on one" or "encounter" booths in Times Square than peep show. You enter a private small space and a floor to ceiling window reveals a naked girl on the other side of the glass. San Diego has at least 2-3 similar operations and Las Vegas also represents. Details for me have gone well beyond fuzzy. LA also has the very expensive private live shows or some places will call them lingerie shows without any glass windows to protect you from actual contact. The girl will be right there in front of you in a private room and everybody gets naked together. The businesses insist that its a non - contact encounter but of course money talks and YMMV. The best known is Eros Station in Van Nuys down the road from the Spearmint Rhino. Not cheap and couples probably pay premium but also will probably get a much better show. If you spend any time in strip clubs you know that strippers love to play with couples.

As Camel mentioned, Venus Faire in NoHo is still around. However, the shows there used to be completely tame, and I am sure they still are. In LA, dildo play is considered obscenity, and is a no-no. At the best you will get a slightly hotter show than a strip club. At worst, you get a bored girl shimmying around and demanding tips. It has been at least 10 years since I was there... They offered lap dances for a while, but reports were they were all air. According to ZBone, they still offer laps, and are now a "modeling studio," which would put them more in line with Exotic City, Paris House and Club Eros, if that is true.

Years ago, the Deja Vu in Bakersfield had a peep show in back, and that was also lousy. With the demise of the Lusty Lady in San Francisco, I think your chances of finding a decent on the West Coast are pretty slim.

Thanks for the responses even if it is bad news. Camel, your description of the Classic New York was great. The thing that seemed possible of course was that my FB and I could get in the booth and have a lot of fun, which couldn't necessarily happen as easily at a strip club. Paris House still open?

The 1st and the last time I went there was about 25 years ago.

My only trip to that place, and I got lucky with 3 girls because of that.

It's pretty grim bro. There are only one or two dancers there during any given time and they have super limited hours. I think it's .40 to get a private dance and then you can start to negotiate. I want in there with a real class act girl just check it out but there just wasnt enough variety in the girls to play with. You will be missed.[/QUOTE]Got my fingers crossed that this is an erroneous rumor Mazda. Alameda Strip is one of a kind around here. Haven't been there in ages but I really enjoyed the colorful genuine Mexican atmosphere. Definitely good times at this bar and fun to hang out with the chicas and mujeres even though this was not exactly a monger venue. Nothing about a closure came up when I Googled the name so I'm going to maintain optimism and hope it is a temporary closure.

They do have a sister club on Woodley in Van Nuys by the airport. I forget the name but it is Club XXXX with the X=4 digit number. Maybe the address. Same concept as AS but it is more of a grungy neighborhood dive bar with too many gabachos like myself hanging out there and it lacks the authentic south of the border flavor of Alameda and last few times I hung out seemed like there was more hip hop than cumbia and ranchera being played by the DJ. But not horrible as a 2nd choice and some very nice chicas there during the night shifts.

Well I heard some chatter from the dancers at NICOLAS commerce.

I didn't want to ask to much about it.

This place used to be packed to the rafters cause it's no charge entrance.
