Haven't been to Macaau since the early '90s - assume it has changed a tad since then! Island of Hong Kong was wonderful as was working in Taipei. Great ex-pat group.

Since the local and federal governments are scrambling to increase tax revenues. Why not take the obvious steps and legalize reefer and the sex trade and tax it. I have to believe that society would be better off seeing money coming into local budgets rather than into the pockets of drug traffickers and sex slave people? Plus all the current tax money wasted on the "war" on these two sins.
It would hardly affect the cost of pot but might inpact our industry. Would that cost be offset on the whole by what people are and will be spending to defend themselves from procecution.
Mayor Daley, don't raise parking meter fees, go the Amsterdam route.

I'm with you there, my man. This was up for vote in San Francisco last month, but unfortunately it didn't pass. If it didn't pass in SF, it surely wouldn't pass in Chicago.
There are many upsides to it being legalized, and we wouldn't have to worry about workers losing their jobs to oursourcing. Makes sense to me.
