GZ Cafe: I wanted to check out their new location. I already knew going in: (1) at their previous location, I noticed a sign behind the counter reminding the girls not to spend more than two minutes at any table, at any one time; (2) I also know that this place (reportedly) has had / is having some difficulties with their host city. That said...
It's interesting that as a Yelp category, GZ lists itself (first) as an internet cafe, and a coffee/smoothie bar as its secondary description. The new location is really off the main boulevard, in a nondescript (tired) strip mall. One of the first things I noticed upon arrival was a "help wanted" sign for waitresses in the front window.
The interior decor is rather nice. There are a lot of signs reminding patrons "no smoking" inside. You can smoke in the back alley, where they have benches and receptacles for the butts. The manager (owner?) watching the register was a real MILFy type. She wore a tasteful, lacy outfit that really didn't show much more than her fine figure. There were three waitresses: one Viet, one mixed-Asian, and one fair skinned Caucasian/Hispanic.
As expected, two of the ladies did a systematic room rotation, pitcher of iced tea in hand. They would come by, top off the tea glass, chat for about two minutes, and then move on. The conversation was vacuous. It's difficult to have any type of verbal exchange, as the stereo volume is so high, and the duration of their visit is short.
There were no shows, but I tipped two of the girls ($5) each. In their circuits, each of them visited 4-5 times each, so I figured they deserved something. They really were nice and friendly. Including my iced coffee ($6), I spent a total of ($16).
BTW: I noticed that during my visit, all of the customers were non-Asian. Only one of the waitresses I spoke with had worked at the old location. She stated that the customers visiting this site were more "mixed" than at the previous location. She attributed it to this location being further away from Little Saigon.
368: I couldn't handle two iced coffees in one day. So at 368, I ordered coconut water ($8). (Literally, they cut open a coconut, and you sip the coconut water with a straw.) There were five waitresses working: four Viet and one Caucasian (or fair skinned Hispanic). I was there for almost an hour. During that time, one of the Viet waitresses provided a brief performance. Unfortunately, she was the one I found least interesting. I was hoping to see if the other Viet waitresses made a display, but it never happened. The non-Asian waitress was very attractive, and provided a first and a second half display. I tipped her a total of ($10). Total spent here ($18).
At this time, I prefer to look at the natural figures I'm seeing in the coffee shops, versus the surgically enhanced figures you might see in the strip joints nowadays.

They were casually trying to entice some customers to come their way and visit them. They are nice women, but of course they are mostly twice the age of the coffee girls. It was pretty cute, though.

They have a note up at the register mentioning extra parking on the side / back (not sure of the exact details). There may have been a specific time restriction though. I've gotten lucky with a spot the last few times I've been there. Definitely seen some of the guys just camp out for a solid 10-15 minutes waiting for a spot to open up.
Not a comfort facility, open space with curtains. At times young provider < 35 in the art of TCM massage, merridian line and towel workout. Better massage facility by 368/ Lo Mein except for the noise at both location.

If you're new to the girls working that day, or they don't remember you, you might not want to play it too cool. Most guys try to keep a low key demeanor. But it's more reassuring to them if you smile a lot, make a lot of eye contact.
Also take some one dollar bills. Tip the first girl you like a couple dollars when she walks by, or refills your tea. Tell her she looks good today, and ask her name. Do this with a couple girls. After that, they should tell the others you're just another depraved customer like the rest of us, LOL.
New guy here and wow didn't know there were this many viet coffee shops. Only place I've stumbled upon was cafe lu this past summer. I live in the la area so I don't really get too much time to go down here but looks like I'm going to make a day trip soon.

I'm definitely a rookie at coffee shops but I've been going to strip clubs and AMP for some time now and don't want to blow up these girl's ego buy over tipping like some of the amateurs do at the club and AMP haha.

Been stopping by 168 pretty frequently these last couple of weeks, I've been out of the game since about January. I usually go on weeknights from 9 pm-10:30 ish. This place is still my goto place as performances are pretty regular. One new girl I absolutely love is Mimi she just started this week but has already won me over, she's a thick Viet girl who will often come by showing tops or dancing for you. There are two other white girls that are doing dances / shows there now too I can't remember their names but one looks exactly like Jennifer Lawrence LOL, the other has short hair with blond tips. One thing I have noticed that I wanted to share ask about is the performances Idk if anyone else has noticed this here or anywhere else but at least at 168 I started noticing this trend. Only one girl at a time is allowed to perform Mama gives the OK then she comes out from behind the counter and goes to work and its always to a hip hop / RnB song ALWAYS. Sometimes they have girls that like clubbing, and they want to make it more fun inside, so hip hop works better. And the old Vietnamese music puts the girls to sleep. 168 should stop playing that stuff, actually. The playlist is better at Dang, Cat Tuong, and Starz.

Ironically, they show more skin at the coffee shop than that topless only strip club.

I visit that club once awhile, but somehow its been my go to club whenever I want to drop by a SC. It is still a strict no touching air club. They have alot of eye candy girl who give routine mechanical dance. It is not a club for you if you are looking for mileage. Though the owner recently invested quite abit to remodel the place. The bar had been moved back and they also added a sushi bar.

They asked a man in a suit at one of the tables for his I D and maybe something else and he showed it to them, maybe they thought he was a manager because of the suit. The uniforms left the man and headed to the register area. The uniforms briefly talked to the lady in charge, I think I overheard her say it just happened and from the uniform's reaction he obviously didn't believe her. They then focused on interviewing the girl they witnessed. The girl who was supposed to be lookout, tall gorgeous Asian girl with some tattoos and lighter hair and a ridiculous body, was seated at a table next to me and was telling a customer that she was going to get in trouble because she was lookout and they walked through the front door. Is it bad that I hope she still works there and starts doing shows to make up for the incident? At around this time I noticed some customers were paying at the register and leaving and I decided to make my exit after paying and leaving a decent tip.

I was wondering why.
