Chicago prosecutors and US Senator target Backpage
The Chicago Tribune has had a couple of recent reports on Chicago prosecutors and a US Senator targeting Backpage. They are working on a federal law to target the operators of websites that facilitate sex crimes, prostitution, etc. Links to an article and video are below. The video is about 1:50 minutes.

Have fun, but be careful!
Drugs, the industry and the role LE plays in it.
I should keep my mouth shut, but.
Drugs are bad. The drug trade creates unimaginable wealth all up the distribution chain. For every person "captured" 100 more are ready to step in at every level to take their place. For each drug bust made 100 (more like a 1000) go undetected.
The war on drugs, look at the statistics, has done nothing to reduce usage. It has only made a lot of guys rich (er) both bad guys (dealers) and good guys (cops). The latter through the monies thrown at them by the feds and the value of the confiscated funds and properties. Add to that the costs we pay in the judicial system and to support the prison system and you have to say, WTF.
This "war" is like any other. It doesn't fix anything, it just makes some richer and more powerful at the cost of many innocents. Dealers and cops get richer, hos and johns get squashed.
Drugs are bad. Fighting it doesn't fix it. Never has. Never will.
This is both my two cents worth as well as my two senses worth.
