I actually responded to a different ad with a different picture (but same name and phone number. I found this out after the below adventure)

She tries to convince me to stay, saying she waited for when the appointment was (which she could have said at the first call and I would have waited patiently. Because I was, in fact, early) but I was too spooked at that point and left.

I now notice she is spamming BP with about 6 different adds with different picutres, but the same name and phone number. She also claims to be recently moved from Wisconsin, but has a local telephone number.

Maybe she wanted to get a look at you before you knew her room number. It could have been nerves on her part.

But maybe she didn't have the room yet or money for the room. Maybe she was in a car on the other side of the building hoping to get you to fork over the money for the room and maybe you would have had a real good time. But maybe she would have split with the room money.

The pieces to these situations don't always fit. The lesson here, Ichthus, is you did the right thing. She didn't follow the plan. She went off script. You were surprised and bolted. That's what we should do when things happen off script. We should bolt. There is no time for an explanation. Too often the first surprise is quickly followed by another one that's much worse.

We don't think clearly when surprised. We rationalize what happened, the surprise, to fit our expectation that yes, we're still going to get laid. That's too dangerous.

The only time I got burned was when I was surprised by a change in the plan. I rationalized, went on with it and got burned. I was a mark and didn't know it. None of this would have happened had I immediately left when something I was told turned out not to be true.
