If you are into high end escorts they may require a reference or some sort of verification. Then it may be worth it. Most craigslists people don't do much for verification so it isn't that important.

Since the phone is only used to make calls, and not to receive them there is nothing to worry about. and with trac they have a voice mail system so any calls that you miss you can always retrieve the msg.In my case I can charge the phone at work, but I suppose if you needed to you could by a cheap car charger for them at a gas station of radio shack.

I have my own cell that I use for my personal calls. I pay the bill, the wife does not comb thru the listings - why would she, since I give her no reason to be suspicious. Even if she did, it's just a list of phone numbers. They don't scream out "MASSAGE PARLOR".
Now, what I DON'T have is a "family plan" where my calls and her calls are intermingled on one bill. I have my own phone and bill, she has her own phone and bill. For all I know, she might be getting 'massages' on the side - if so, God bless her.

Completely agree... if my phone rings during times i am with the SO, i just say... Oh work, or I really do not want to talk to that person... send them to voicemail....
But if I had a second phone in my car? Hmmmm... whos is that ?
Two things that I use:
1. Erase button
2. Vibrate ringer
Also, I do business with many different foreign people and different types of Americans. Therefore, strange voices might be considered common, regardless of their non educated use of the English language
I agree. I have 1 phone and the bill gets paid for by my company so the bill doesn't even come to my house.
Get this, last Xmas Night I'm in Florida sitting aroung after dinner with my dad, brother and wife outside and my phone rings. I thought it was my sister calling from an 851 area code so I answered. In a really loud woice this sw says Hi (mwm) it's Rachel...WTF. Everyone hears it including my wife and I'm busted. I just said you have the wrong number and hung up but the damage was done. The damn thing is I only saw this girl one time. She is on vacation coutesy of the state...good riddence!

In fact after your "bizness" is done why is there a need to even keep the phone on. That's how you avoid your phone ringing at awkward times with random SW,s on the other end of that call.

Hiding the phone is asking for trouble, big time. If you must have one just ask whomever you give the number to to only text you. Keep the phone on silent at all times.
But if you want my opinion I'd say ditch it. Its not worth the trouble of getting caught.
Also the SO could be slick find it and not tell you and then start reading your messages or break your code.

Bad Deal all the way around.[/QUOTE]Try getting a prepaid phone for your monger use only. They are cheap these days and you can get them anywhere. Hide it in office or in your car where nobody would find it such as the spare tire compartment.
That would be a safe bet.
