Any updates here? Recommendations?

Could anyone familiar with strip clubs please explain how it works? Is there a set price for a "dance"? What can one expect during a dance? Are the bouncers someone to be wary of? Asking for a friend. Thanks.

You just need to find a dancer you click with and let her set the rules. Everything differs by club. Sorry I don't have recommendations, waiting for someone else to chime in on that. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to wait till I get back to vegas though.

First is the decision. Nude or topless? Nude means no booze but potentially great mileage dances. Topless has booze and is more of a sports bar feel, but the dances are much tamer. Dance prices will be less at topless joints since the dances are actually bikini, not topless. Topless is only on stage. At nude clubs the dances can sometimes be off the rails, lol.

Dance prices run the gamut of (fairly) cheap topless dances, up to 30 min or longer VIP's at nude places which can run hundreds of $$. Some clubs have more strict floaters/bouncers than others, and even then it can vary from day to day and even from shift to shift, depending on who's working.

As you can see there is no set recipe. Just tell your "friend" to go and have fun and experience a few clubs and see what happens.

After getting recommendations a few months ago, I finally made the time to check out the Spearmiint Rhino on Oxnard in Van Nuys. Many years ago, one of the PLs on ZBone named it the "Dead Rhino" because they go long stretches of time (especially during day shift) with no dancers on stage. I am happy to report this has not changed at all. I was there for nearly an hour, and not one dancer every graced the stage. It's ironic, since the doorman gave me change for my $10 cover charge in ones.

I was standing at the bar to order my drink, when I was immediately approached by Bella. As she approached me from across the room, my first thought was, "I'm not getting a dance from her. " But the closer she got the cuter she looked. She made small talk, and had to call the waitress over to me. (The waitress was too busy on her phone to look up and see me.) I ordered a water, and the waitress asked if I wanted to "buy the lady a drink. " My water was $7 (I think), and Bella's was $10.

We chatted for 3 or 4 songs, which surprisingly seemed uncut in length. I suggested getting a dance, and Bella mentioned only two options: The VIP, which I think was $150/15 minutes (maybe $180? And the daily special, which was 3 nude dances for $90. I opted for the latter. The dances were great, but no extras were offered. As most of you know, SR clubs do not usually offer extras outside of the VIP room. I asked if it were possible to add a fourth dance, but to do so, we had to switch rooms. Kind of weird.

After my time with Bella, I was sitting back at the bar, and was approached by Candace, a strawberry blonde who had what I would think of as the perfect body. We chatted for a moment, but I indicated I wasn't getting any more dances, as I had to leave. After Candace left, I was approached by Kennedy, a tall, olive-skinned dancer (perhaps Latina?) whose pitch was about how much fun we would have had if I had danced with her instead.

As far as I could tell, there were no other dances visible during my visit. I finished my drink and left the club.

The parking lot had quite a few cars in it, I'd say between 15 and 20, so there may have been many more dancers back in the VIP rooms. There were only 2-3 guys in the club, and another 2-3 male employees (doorman, bouncer, etc.). So maybe 10-15 dancers total, all in the back rooms?

I plan to return this week to see Candace. She is exactly my type.

Went there last week and it gives a chill vibe. No hard selling from the girls. I had a few dances and they were pretty good. Anyone had extra's during dances or in the VIP room? There was an old blonde maybe in her late 40's and she was talking to a monger and he took her to the VIP for half hour I think. He must have had fun. If you have details on this club, please share. Also, is Leilani no longer working here?

As a daytime clubber I have found the pickings very slim in terms of quantity of girls, but the few there were at least decent. Got to say I like it a helluva lot more than SynnVN down the street.

You're right, they've always had at least a few pretty girls, but mileage is weak. At Synn VN, the mileage used to be much better, but lately, it's been equally as week as OBC. Just a year ago, I've gotten the Paradise Handshake at Synn VN shortly after sitting down, but not lately.

When I was going to OBC more regularly I got spoiled by girls like Danni & Gina who were very generous in the back. And do you remember Roxanne? Damn she could swim in the deep end of the pool w/o a snorkel for extended periods of time and never come up for air, lol. I think that Danni is now at Red Tie and I been meaning to try and visit her. She puts on one helluva stage show if you enjoy that type of thing. I remember the first time I saw her I walked into the club and heard Marilyn Manson and there was Danni tearing up the stage with moves that could win a pole dancing contest for sure. She was extraordinary.

One gal who I know has been a consistent site at OBC now is Brandee, a very cute young'un who occasionally posts her schedule on BI. But I recall she was LM so I never sought her out.

I saw a report within the year that Manuela is still at OBC. I don't doubt it at all.

The name Danni at Red Tie sounds really familiar. I think she was on my To Do list, but I only saw her there once. I love a good stage show, so maybe that's why I remember her.

I'm going to have to give OBC another try. Maybe Red Tie too. The mileage was only so-so last time I went, but that was 2-3 years now, easily.

Went there again this week. Club has been sold and new management is in place. Looks like some armenian guy has purchased the club. Was told to pay 10 cover at 6 pm on Tuesday. I asked the skinny dj dude as to how many girls were there. He was like there are a lot of girls. Just come in you will have a great time. 4 girls in total were working at that time. Talked to a girl for 20 minutes but she had a cold vibe. Declined her dance while drinking my red bull. Tipped a few bucks for stage dances. At the hour point, that skinny dj dude comes over and tells me that there is a minimum one drink per hour. I was like are you kidding me? I told him I will buy in a few minutes. Bailed in 5 minutes. Never going back unless they change things here. New owners are just greedy pigs.

Interesting to see what changes will continue to unfold. Too bad it sounds like this club may be tanking. I hope they get their shit together because even tho SynnNH is a shithole, it could wind up driving OBC out of business for good.

Was back in town for business and found Eros on Oxnard Blvd gone, what happened? Any similar place around the valley?

They were peep shows for a long time, then I heard they had added mediocre lap dances. (Many years ago, I was surprised to see a girl I'd gone to college with working there.).

I haven't seen a report on the place for a long, long time, but as far as I know it is still there.

There also used to be Erotic City near LAX and another one in Carson or Torrance, but I think those are both gone as well. Last and least is Paris House in West L. A. Which has received VERY mixed reviews over the 50 years it has been in business, and can vary from nothing, to do-it-yourself, to limited action of some sort, at very high reputed prices.

I'd love if some monger with money and time would check out those places. Maybe Hundred will do it.
