To my mind, at MOST, if you don't want your information to be easily searchable or scannable by some bot or other nefarious entity, just omit the dollar sign, as in 250 instead of $250.
Finally, I'll observe that, since site Admin's found it helpful to spell out the code for THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FREAKIN' DOLLARS, they either have deeper pockets than most of the guys I see posting in THIS thread, or at least those deep pockets must be gathered up in Members of some other city where that sort of money is commonly tossed around!
