Merry Christmas to all on here!
Just wanted to say Happy Holidays and a happy New Year to all my fellow hobbiests, AND to all you wonderful, lovely ladies who make it enjoyable.
Rojo.
All,
I was looking at reviews on another web site and saw a review for Stormy / WetVelvet from late November. The last I remember was that see had a run in with the law and was serving a little time (although I did not know how much time). Is she back around or was that review total BS?
Roger
Having never seen anyone to provide a reference. My Question to you Sinfull or anyone else is can this obsticle be overcome and how?

Roger
Right about the legal issues and right about the time off. My first inclination was to call BS on the review because Stormy felt like she got a lot of client flow off this board and it would surprise me that she's back in the saddle without showing up here.
Then I remembered a new post in the Advertisers Section by a "newbie" named EnvyMe. She claimed to be a returning provider. I have no data (pro or con) on this new name EnvyMe but maybe Stormy is back in the rotation. If so, I'll be interested to see if she's the same reliable provider that she was before her vacation.
I guess we'll find out when someone decides to TOFTT with EnvyMe.
Have a great day.

I agree with ally who doesn't check refrences I have turned down many dates because of this. It is for the safety of all the lovely providers we have to offer here in cincinnati. And as for this envyme it does sound a little too familiar with how she worded her ad. I know because I worked for her. Whomever she may be best of luck and be safe and if it is stormy good to have you back its about time we get another great provider like dawn molly and ally to name a few. Everyone else be safe and happy happy hobbying and happy new year. Hugs and soft kisses silk
Or high posters are a must. She is right on with that recommendation. Ladies are good who have vouches from well respected contributors or other ladies or men we know. To take a client cold is asking for problems for the lady or man. Just my opinion on this snowy morning. Good post Sinful
EnvyMe is NOT stormy. I won't give out her I'd since she has taken care to hide it but it is NOT Stormy.
I did write to that oTERer site and told them it was a bullshit post.

Yeah. I saw that post also and I agree. It is one thing to not bother to screen and take your chances, BUT, the advertise that you do not screen leaves you wide open for many things. 1-LE can easily slip in and 2-A "bad person" knows that you have no idea who they are and can take advantage of that situation.
Lets all try to keep this place at least a little safe.
So while perusing the Forum, I noticed some Providers are saying that they can see Clients without references. WOW is all I have to say. Not only is that VERY unsafe, it jeopardizes ALL of us when a provider doesn't check the references. I just find this absurd that a provider would go to that length to try and get business. And not to mention if any of the Hobbyists see her, then you don't care about the screening process, and this is just begging for LE to drop by.
I turned down several clients last week because they didn't have ANY type of references, and to me that just isn't okay with me. I ask for 2 references and I don't think that is a bad screening process. For the most part I try to answer my phone right away, but if not I do return calls or messages when I am available.
Be Safe,
Ally
Can't wait to start seeing good reviews for EnvyMe. Don't know who she might be but wish her well as she reestablishes herself in the community.
Have a great day.

Be Safe,
Ally
I offer newbie hobbyist a chance. I screen them my way and refs are not always required. In the 90's before these sites existed, that's how you had to do it.
Years of experience and a proven track record of no busts or rip off reports means I must know how to screen safely.
I wouldn't recommend a new provider try this. But, once I screen them my way they come see all of you and have a reference from me.
How would a new guy get refs? He's new! If we have no new hobbyist we have no future.
Safe screening isn't only done by asking another agency or provider. There are many other ways.
Personally it scares me more to see 4 new girls a week asking for 2 refs. LOL.
Leo could easily post a pic and gather intel on hobbyist and providers that way.
Just my 2 cents.

Be Safe,
Ally
I have never once provided a reference to a provider, nor do I ever plan to, nor do I see how not doing so affects my safety in any way, shape or form. I also find it annoying to have providers on here attempting to dictate terms of service for other providers.
I do understand why providers would want this. I'm not, however, willing to spend time giving or seeking references and waiting for them to be verified. Nor do I have any desire to tell new providers who else I've seen, or to tell former providers who I'm seeing now. Nor do I think they should have to spend their time providing references.
If Ally can run her business this way, more power to her. However, the fact that she's on here whining about others not playing by her rules suggests to me that she's having trouble doing this, or having to turn down too many potential customers who won't play along.
I am quite sure that there are providers on here or elsewhere, the vast majority, at least elsewhere, who never have used references. And, it's absurd even for providers who use references to expect all providers to do the same, since that would essentially prevent any new customer from ever entering the system.
As far as jeopardizing everyone, there's no guarantee that a provider who checks references isn't LEO. In fact, it would be a great way for LEO in an extended undercover operation to go about business, both to appear "safe" and to collect additional intel. While there are some additional assurances for the provider, one, two or any number of references are no guarantee the customer is safe either. There's nothing preventing a psychopath from accumulating a few good "references" on his way to doing something horrible. There's really nothing preventing LEO from working in a system that would generate some references, since drug-related vice operations essentially do this all the time.
In fact, I've known at least one provider who saw a client repeatedly, trusted him implicitly and then was one time raped brutally by the same man. This is very unfortunate, but it's a risk in this business, or in life itself, since I'm sure quite a lot of folks have had spouses who changed on them over time.
In short, the reference system provides no real assurance and is a useless inconvenience that may actually increase risks for mongers.
You sir, are a danger to all of us. References protect the hobby community from Leo and from perverted misogynist, stalkers, and guys that are twisted enough to mess with other hobbyist just for seeing their ATFs. I hope providers take note of your handle and boycott ever booking with you.
References are crucial to all of us, and your selfish attitude is dangerous to the hobby community.
