I said it before and I say it again that's illegal, if they get sued / investigated for doing that without disclosing it they will pretty much get in trouble, it's like stealing people's identity. Capisci?
So, it is a FACT, Cheeks is scanning your drivers license at the door into their data base. When a friend of mine (been coming to Cheeks over 10 years) told The Gestapo that they have to disclose what they are doing with that info, legally. He responded " it's my F_ing club, I can do whatever I want" let's say, they are just compiling statistical analysis, age, zip code, race, whatever. Now lets go to the next step. Let's say that they get busted (never heard of that happening in Dayton) , what is going to be one of the first thing on the search warrant? My guess is the computers. What is to stop LE from releasing all that info to the local media? I don't do anything illegal and I personally am not married but could cause me serious problems with family, business, kids. There is a reason I keep this side of my life private.
Thoughts anyone? Please don't make this an "Eric bashing session" there's been enough of them and WE ALL know about him.
Cheeks Data collection
Thanks for confirming the original warning post. Exactly what this board is all about. Make an assertion. And others validate or refute.
If their database is ever breached or accessed without authorization they will likely be in violation of Ohio revised code 1349.19. They can then be prosecuted as well as sued in civil court.
Think a letter is going to Ohio AG soon with a complaint regarding their data collection practices.
Also, a letter to Ohio Dept of Taxation and IRS. Dancers are independent contractors. For every dance in couch room the dancers pay the club. In doing so the club should be providing a receipt plus give dancers a 1099 for year. Which they do not. They are in many respects not following tax laws. And alledgedly not fully reporting taxable revenue.

May still be on probation. 1099 while the right thing doesn't hurt the business at all. It will however hurts the girls. The smartest stripper I ever knew claimed just enough income to be eligible for earned income credit and get a credit score started. She is now a good realtor in Columbus.
I will check this. Did she work elsewhere? I have a vague recollection I met her somewhere. I think cheeks early in 2017?
Funny thing my senior year of college I met a JAP in NY at my University, black hair pure white skin body to die for. She took a big interest in CB72. I neglected to completely follow thru, we had fun. I miss her I could be happily on long Island raising dwarfs.
If she's a real skinny blonde with small boobies, she used to be a Harem girl, along with her friend, a real big girl named Kiki.

It's nice to hear a happy ending like this. I swear I would actually tip these girls more if they actually proved to me they were attending college to earn that nursing degree or realtor's license.

I'd Scanning
Here is a link to the section of the Ohio Revised Code covering what Cheeks is doing:
http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/4301.61
Selling of the info would be illegal; supplying it upon a court order would not.
They are only supposed to store name, birth date, and license expiry date, I believe.

Cheeks management might justify the scanning by saying that they are just following one of the guidelines provided by the Ohio Liquor Control Board, but there is always the possibility that management or some unscrupulous employee will make a copy of the personal data and try to make a buck. And with a strip club, I would say the chances of this happening might be higher than other places. It's the nature of the business.

Scanning license
Just a different view of the scanning. Could they be trying to watch for an undercover investigation that has happened at the other clubs?? Just a thought but I also do not trust management or local media if records are seized to keep information private.

I would say the main reason is to try and spot fake I'D's, making sure that when someone is banned they don't come back in, and trying go stop people from drinking underage. I also wouldn't be amazed if there trying to go the route of making it a private club like Diamonds is.
But the cynical side of me does wonder what all Eric might be doing with that information that might be seedy.

Cheeks I'd Scans
The main reason for the scans is for legal defense if they get caught serving someone underage. Legally, it's the only use for the information. Liquor license holders who use the scan system (which is sold by the state) who can prove they scanned a legit I'd can get out of any fines for serving someone underage.

Re: ID scans at Cheeks
Got a question. Are the IDs being scanned into a computer, or a small yellow device? If it's a small yellow device, all that does is show the age and date of birth. Most clubs, strip or other, use it. It also indicates whether or not the ID is valid or expired. It does not capture any information. Now, if it's being scanned into a computer, then I'd worry.
