Hard to say. In the not too distant past, it was $250-$300 and up. Late last summer, I went for a walk down there and several were quoting $150. I was a bit surprised since I was expecting more. Now, with tourism down and the economy in the crapper, who knows. It might be more within what we'd think of as reasonable. Whatever the price, I suspect the service will still be mediocre to piss-poor, rushed, dead-fish-experience. I can't remember the last time I read a positive report about a Waiks SW here. Great to look at, but not worth it in all other regards unless looks are the only thing that matter to you.

Of course you already know about this, but inexperienced hobbyists should note that a relatively low price quote by a pimp-controlled Waikiki streetwalker could be persuasion for a "bait and switch." The last favorable report that I saw was posted by Vinillaguerila about one month ago (in late March), on the Waikiki forum's "Streetwalker Reports" thread. However, the experience cost him $300. Although there may be a few exceptions, I strongly agree with you that most likely the service will be unsatisfactory.

Dunno about downtown, but I can tell you that you are WAY too early for Waikiki. They might just be starting their evenings. You see more of them out later in the night, although then it's hit or miss b/c sometimes they're with clients. I've seen them walking around as late/early as 4-5am in the morning there.
