I've noticed some familiar faces from By Nite, Sky, and Romantei are now roaming Sandy and Jen's. The girls on the move again?

Don't know if Kathy's in Kalihi is a thai or viet bar, but they are having a grand opening next week. Stopped by last week during the afternoon, and its the same setup with the pool tables and all. A couple of the same girls from before were there. There were a couple younger girls there that I didn't see before, so guess theres more that come in later at night. Hmmm...wonder if Maya, the pretty bartender from before, is going to work again.

How did you get all this info? I heard Romantei is having their hearing this week. Any info? Cus they been raided a lot this year for prostitution and illegal immigrant.

If that bar is the one by Bob's BBQ then it's a Thai bar from the last time I was there. Or as I was told by the people who work there, but then again alot of things can change in a bar in a one year time period.

I drink there quite alot and I don't notice the raids. I've only noticed the raids at Sky/Asia. I must have missed all the action at Romantei haha.

Romantei was raided earlier in the year. By LE and LC. I know the girls who got busted. Angela was one of them, that's why she doesn't work anymore, she wants the issue to be over and probably won't work at the bars again. Of course, the power of money might be greater since they probably have to pay lots of bucks to hire a lawyer to take care of their case.

The sad part is the girls who got busted like angela really don't play that much, just that they got caught touching undercover guy, no not by his groin but his leg, arm and leaning against the guy. The law is very vague, any touching can be related to prostitution. The LC violations were based on what the LE guy said.

It was ashley's bd last week. Usually fridays are totally packed in the bars (end of the week) but many times saturdays are empty, lots of times it's because of the UH game, guys come in to watch the game and drink and leave when the game is over, so last week's game was away and during the afternoon so the guys left after the game was over. The girls know this and so won't come in early since they know the guys won't buy as much drinks if they are watching the game. It got busy after 11 pm though.

No wonder sky lounge is so dead nowadays if that's jackie's attitude. Haven't seen lyna lately.

Yeah, I really only see Angela come in with her regular customers. Other than that she never shows her face anymore.

Plus that raid was awhile back but I do remember that one. I believe another girl with Angela got busted too.

If the girl was busted they are not allowed to work in the bar. If they show up at the bar the bar will be fined and forced to close for a couple days.

Heard that Lyna going back to work in November.

A 41 years old hostess working at Black Stallion (Korean bar in Kalihi) got murdered Monday night by her customers.

The girl is innocent until proven guilty. When the girl gets arrested the judge handling her arrest will probably grant her bail until her trial. Unless she did something very bad (like stab someone or something) she won't be banned from the job.

As for the bar being forced to close for infractions, this is done though the liquor commission, not HPD so unless the bar did something really bad or repeated infractions they won't be closed down because of one girl. HPD isn't responsible for the bars. You can read about it now in the advertiser, in the C section every week they list all the recent info from the liquor commission weekly meetings. I have a friend that is on the commission and that's what he told me.

I know some of the girls that got busted, they aren't working not because they can't but because they are afraid of getting busted again. Not good to get arrested again while still awaiting trial/going to trial for a previous arrest. Plus many girls are ashamed of getting arrested so don't want to go through that again.

This was told to me by a mama, I guess she does not know about the rules and regulations of the liquor commission. By the way, this has nothing to do with HPD, the liquor commission is in control.

[/QUOTE]Can is the ultimate word. She would have to have done something serious to get her card suspended or revoked. Not impossible as I know some girls that got caught for playing with a customer that was a inspector got their card suspended.

Okay to clarify, there are different kinds of busts. If she gets busted by LE for prostitution (what's been happening lately) then she gets booked and goes to jail/court for the night. If she can't post bail she may be in jail overnight or (not likely but not impossible) longer. The court could (but most times not) have a stipulation that she not work in the business until her case is completed but usually with a lawyer, they usually prolong the case by asking for a continuance with the hope that LE won't show up and the case will be dropped (It happenned to a girl at sky lounge last year, lucky her). For some of the others, since it was an aggresive LE handling the bust they couldn't get off as easy. While they were continuing their cases they can be allowed to work. That's why some girls that got busted by LE are still working even though their cases are not completed. I know of a few that are still working but are continuing their court case. Just ask them. Yes, some aren't supposed to be working and are still working but the charge must have been really bad to warrant it (like solicitation, actual prostitution, touching, etc.). Many of the girls nowaways get busted not by actually doing something but just by touching the customer (not in any sexual area), on the leg, etc.

If she gets busted by LC (not all LE busts involve LC, but then LC busts may not involve LE because they can cite a girl or a bar when they just go to inspect the bar) then she and the bar would get cited. Depending on her and the bar's infraction she and the bar could be okay until their appearance before the liquor commission. You see it in the paper nowadays, like sky lounge getting fined 12K the other week. It is up to the commission and inspector to determine if the girl can continue to work until her/their appearance. If all girls couldn't work after they got cited then most of the bars would be barren. Many girls don't work because they are afraid of getting caught again, not good to get caught while their case was still outstanding.

Hopefully lyna will take over the place soon, jackie really ran that place to the ground.

Stopped by Sky and Secret this past Tuesday and both places were VERY empty. We stopped off at Sky around 10:30 after leaving Business and had a beer and left. It was dead and didn't see more than a couple of girls. Secret was even worse. We didn't even stay long enough to get seated at a table.

Ended up going to Camelot after and noticed that they decorated. I hadn't been in a while and noticed that they reupolstered the seats and have a low seating area now by the karaoke machine where they have a liquor cabinet.

Has anyone sat with Yuko from Sky Lounge and had play in or outside of the bar? Very curious because she seemed so friendly and eager to play. Mahalo

She has a bit of an attitude (Guys come in the bar because girls like me wouldn't talk to them in real life. We're the girls that turn guys down.). The other is a hapa Korean girl, a little on the heavy side and not really sure how to approach the customers. The rest of the girls were the regular ones (Sara, Kayla, Coco).

Thanks for the info,I think you need to edit your post. You said guys come in the bar because girls like me wouldn't talk to them in real life.We're the girls that guys turn down.Not being a smart ass,just a suggestion. CC
