Why doesn't every single person who has the charges dropped or is found "not guilty" of any crime sue the city and win? The only way you could sue the city is if you had a ton of evidence showing you were cited maliciously and the police were arresting people just because they could and without regard for even the slightest bit of probable cause. If you are seen circling the neighborhood a few times that is probable cause right there to cite you for a cruising violation. Also, there are more cameras out there than you think. Be smart and don't even get yourself into that position in the first place.

Better to heed the advice and walk.

Scary incident on 25th and Orchard. Shots fired as police served a search warrant. Six were arrested, three men and three women. All three women have a record of prostitution. Both crack and heroin were confiscated. Another reminder that these streets are dangerous. It is not smart at all to go anywhere a streetwalker would want to take you. She was active an another forum. Seemed like a very nice, free spirit type. I had thoughts of seeing her. I think that any underage girl being trafficked is a problem. That said there, unfortunately, will always be the underage who are forced into it; sad but true. The same goes for foreigners, typically Asians, who become involuntary servants. The typical government solution is to throw money at a problem. When this is done the results MUST justify the costs. In virtually all of the newspaper reports that I have seen regarding the trafficking stings about 75% (at least) of the providers are not minors. So were their ads inferring that they were young or was the sting basically targeted at the hobby itself and their arrests boosts the arrest numbers so it looks like they're catching the bad guys. It really appears to be the same stings they've always run, just re-branded as going after trafficking since that's where the money and fame is. As far as the minors that they do catch how many are voluntarily providing and how many are actually being trafficked? Let's face it there are a lot of 16 & 17 year old girls who look older and discover this lucrative source of income. Getting a fake I'd isn't that hard to do.

Anyways, why on earth is the Department of Homeland Security involved in this?
