I don't get it, how do the 24 hour massage parlors like oasis, k spa, wa wa stay open while others in johns creek get busted? The 24 hour ones obviously offering extras don't get busted, but the ones in the burbs do. Is it a local police problem, do the ones in atlanta just not care and the ones in the suburbs don't have anything better to do?

Most of the busts are motivated by local complaints. Folks in the suburbs are more likely to actually complain about such things (and local PD are more likely to listen) than in Atlanta proper.
Just another thing to loathe about the suburbs.

For shits and giggles, go to the Johns Creek City website and read their rules for massage parlors. One of the newer owners out that way asked me to help interpret them for them. They are freakin crazy. They are written to ticky tacky them into submission. The other cities typically agree its basically a victimless crime and have bigger fish to fry. When they bring up sex slave issues with the AMP's in the JC area, it makes me laugh out loud. I have NEVER seen one less than mid twenties and most in late 30's to 40's just trying to make a living.

This is free green cards for them. Once they have ratted out the owners, the police and FBI will automatically classified the case as sex slaves cases to boost up the statistics. During the superbowl, they claim that 100,000 sex workers worked in the city. This is crazy. This is like 5% of the total population or 10% of the women. Our approach in the USA is crazy. We should learn from Amsterdam where prostitution is legal, there are no pimps and health is important. Sex crimes is low and very little sex slavery. I dream back the days of the 60's when there are a lot more tolerances and individual freedom. I am not sure the country is going the right way. We are forced to conform to these religious beliefs. If we can find an independent island some place and start from scratch with laws that makes common sense, low taxes and respect individual rights, I am sure that within 3 years, the place will be fully populated and booming.

You can draw this along for years. Oasis generates the highest tax for that city. Must be around 500 k for the local government alone. It will be like taxes collected from 200 houses, plus about 200-300 jobs. Other than political grandstanding, I honestly doubt that the city management really wants to close it down. What the city needs is a redlight district. Can you imagine how business boom in this district? Bars, brothels, strip clubs, casinos, shops, restaurants. Atlanta may cut its unemployment rate by half. Tourism, conventions will be all over the place. As a result, all these conservative cities will be dealed a severe blow in losing the tax revenues. Serve them right?
Its probably the same people that have lived in the area for years and never paid any attention to it. Now when its "mailing address" changes and has the same as them, they want it gone. That whole area over there is a dump. But they did get rid of Golden Touch.
