I'm sure "something" happened. What that "something" is, who knows. A month or so before he stopped posting I got a PM from him asking me about some tips regarding getting into shape and in better general health. It stemmed from me mentioning the way AMP girls like hard bods on their clients, so that prompted his PM. I'm hoping it has nothing to do with health because he did make it sound as if his health wasn't the best.

We are all one heart attack, one stroke, one car wreck, etc., away from not ever posting again I guess...

I hope he's OK, we need more of his wisdom.

Someone wrote "RIP Kapalua" in the bathroom wall of Hae Tal One... I wonder if the person who wrote it is a personal friend or just one of us from the board. Nice tribute though. Hope the people there doesn't paint over it.

The next time I go there, I'll bring a pen and write something. It's on the wall behind the toilet. Might have to move some stuff on the shelf to see it.

Hae Tal One is an AMP at 1698 Kalauokalani Way where the Arisoo/Venus AMP used to be. They are located in a house behind the house that fronts the street at that address. There are a couple of parking stalls on the mauka side of the front house and a walkway to Hae Tal One on the makai side of the front house. Telephone #943-0003.

Had 2 guys pissing on the wall in that HUGE empty lot tween Za and HT1. 2 homeless? looking guys just cruising outside of Martini Zoo. Was pretty much dead over there.

Cadilliac in the HT1 parking lot, but I just drove by didnt know they reopened from the old Mika/venus place.

Saw the same thing at Casino just this afternoon. I haven't really been following this thread but after seeing the writing, I was concerned something happened. Anyone know for sure??

Has anyone actually confirmed if Kap was old or in poor health? I'm just saying because several of my friends and coworkers who are my age or older are in the National Guard or the Reserves. And several of them are currently serving a tour in Iraq and some of them are in Afghanistan. My friend's unit left Hawaii right around the same time as Kap's last post. Just a thought.

Might be a way for Forum Members/Fellow Mongers to pay tribute and keep Kapalua's memory alive. When you visit an AMP, bring a Sharpie Pen with you and leave a mark for Kapalua. He has contributed a great deal of wisdom and knowledge to this forum.

From what I recall in either a post or a PM, he was an older haole guy. Maybe in his 50's.

I recall him indicating that he is older now, so I guess he's not 19 or even in his 20's anymore; imagined him to be in his 50's for some reason. He also gave me the impression he was not in shape; another brother mentioned Kap PM'd him for fitness advice.

I've heard of skinny guys in their early 40's having strokes. I just hope he's okay.

I didn't know him, but since we all recognize him as being a gentleman, I don't think he would want to be remembered with vandalism. Especially in the restroom, kinda cheesy IMHO.

If Kapalua was deployed overseas, he would still have internet access. I'm sure he would monitor this forum and let us know that he is okay.

Yeah, that is true. I seem to remember another member posting from overseas asking questions about Lavender/Sakura a few months back. I just hope Kapalua is OK. I like to think that he found a nice, hot chick for himself and decided to retire from the hobby.

Anyone else thought about this?[/QUOTE]I've heard this suggested from time to time...I suspect that as cautious as we are about some of the AMPs we patronize, we'd be just as wary, if not more so, of meeting face-to-face, especially if we think we might meet someone we know. I don't think more than a handful would agree to it, but it might be fun. I'd be up for it, although there are some mongers I'd prefer to avoid, based on my perception of their personalities as shown through their posts and the way they respect (or dis-respect) the providers.

I'm not sure about you guys, but I imagine that I already know a lot of you from going out to the kbs or friends of friends or whatever. I just can't match the handles to the people! But, when I read certain reports, I figure, damn, that has to be so and so! Haha bet we know more than we think!

Believe the story of the past year (2009) was the sudden and unexplained disappearance of Kapalua from this site after 1500 posts (only IMO).

It was significant because of the outpouring of sentiment, caring, and loss of a good bruddah via this board. Looking forward to having a return of the Kaptain, one of the pillars of this board.
