I drove by tonight around 10pm. The light was on and there was no closed sign. I drove to the 7-11 across the street and called the number listed in the sports section. An Asian lady answered and said they were open. I couldn't get any info from her but she said come by. I will be the first to admit that I am not going to be the first to make a visit right now.
Thanks for the update King. My report was accurate for the time I visited (around noon Saturday) but apparently they may have re-opened later.
I checked the Newport News Police website for reported arrests at
http://www.nngov.com/police/custom/friday-daily-offenses-report
and found there were three arrests on the (700) block of their street (Central Division) on Friday June 22. The arrests were for "Dang Drugs", "Prostitution" and "Frequent House Ill".
I don't know that the arrests were related to our spa but it seems likely. I'm glad they have (apparently) re-opened but this is still a flashing yellow light if not a flashing blue light (not the K-Mart special).
I have to go with OldSailor on this one.
They very easily could have opened it back up as part of a sting operation. Especially how quickly it was re-opened.
The frequent house charge lends me to believe a John got busted as well.
Too much heat for me.

Allright guys. I went this morning (Sunday) about 10: 30AM. First customer I believe. Anyway drove by a few times looing for anything suspicious. Parked about a block away, popped a xanex and strolled on in. They seemed a little jumpy. Drew Ann. For the first time no table shower, sauna, or steam was offered. Straight to massage which lasted maybe 10 minutes then she very, very quietly asked what else I wanted. I requested a certain Massage Modality that I enjoy (Aromatherapy):.), she performed it and I was out the door and didn't look back.
Senior members can PM me for better details as you may be interested.
Be safe out there.
Creeper,
You have more balls than I do. :D After a bust like that, I'd be hesitant to enter for a while.
I did take a look at the police records for Saturday and Sunday and there were no other arrests on Thimble Shoals. Does not mean there may not be some forthcoming as part of larger investigation, just nothing at the time.
Adding my slant to the entire situation. This bust was coordinated between NNPD and Immigration (the same pairings, Federal immigraion with local cops, that occurred in DC, NY and other places late last year that closed a lot of AMPs).
So I wonder what the 'real' NNPD involvment with the temporary closing was. Is NNPD actively working this or were they just 'assisting' the Federalies?
Would be interesting to see what falls out on this one. Anyone who goes in, be careful.
It's a touchy subject now but maybe the proposed Immigration laws would make our AMP ladies legal aliens (g). That would take Immigration Enforcement out of the picture.
Thanks for doing the recon Creeper. You get a small brass fig leaf medal with a "V" for valor (g).
Here's my reasoning for going so soon after the bust. All hypothetical, probably wrong. But I got away with it.
Since there was a bust a few days earlier and they were open again the next day, I figured there wasn't enough, if any, evidence to close the place down. They must be obiding by by some local laws. ICE and the police would have loved to bust some illegal Asians, close the place down and plaster it on the 6-oclock news. While I am sure they would also like to bust some Johns, I doubt that would be there main concern. Also, if the girls felt as if there was too much heat, I would asume they would flee town like any other sane illegal who had been caught breaking the law and then set free, got the hell out of Dodge! I doubt that they would be cooperating with police or performing illigal acts other than a legit massage to further incriminate them selves. Now that the fuzz has visited, I am sure that they have a more watchful eye on them now. I just felt that they wouldn't have that much more evidence to bust them again 1-2 days later and on a Sunday. If that makes any sense. As time grows and they can get more evidence. That is when I would be concerned
On another note, I am just there to recieve a legit massage and tip the massuse for good service, just as you would a waiter in a restaurant. It would be a very hard thing to prove otherwise.
Creeper
I visited our local spa this afternoon and things seem relatively "normal" although some people were missing. I was told that they are on "vacation". I'm going back into silent listening mode regarding the place. I'm sure they don't need any more publicity right now. I still feel my previous warning was justified however and I still feel more cautious than usual there now.

Reading about busts of other AMPS. The occasional customer gets nabbed if they are there at the wrong time. Unless the guys are really dumb and leave personal info around they usually aren't bothered.
The proof LE uses for the 'illegal' activity is if they find condoms or other such sexual 'devices' on the premises. Somewhat circumstantial, but that has been used as evidence in the past from what I've read.
I'm going to be like Old Sailor and or the second half of my moniker and lurk for a while on this. I'd rather be horny at home than horny in jail. I prefer my roommates to be hetrosexual (bi is okay too) attractive female members of the opposite sex. :D
Channel 3 did a story about the Asian Spa bust. Its on their website. http://www.wtkr.com/
They really didn't say anything in the report that wasn't obvious except that police confiscated entrance and exit videos. That could be bad.
Ah investigative 'news'. Sounded more like Shakespear's "Much Ado About Nothing".
I mean if you listen to the people interviewed, the spa was an eyesore (not), a disturbance (not, most didn't even know it was there), and had all kinds of sleazy low down's running in and out all the time (not). HMMMM
NNPD, you have three less murders now than in all of last year. That is according to the Daily Press article earlier this week. Go solve them. Or are you taking the Baltimore approach to this. Stop the prostitutes and you'll stop the killings.
Maybe one day we'll actually see a 'news reporter' that can report the NEWS. I guess it could have been worse. It could have been WAVY's Andy Fox. :D
Well, you can't really blame the NNPD for wanting to do the easiest and safest work possible. I mean why mess with drug dealers, murderers and the like when they can make the news arresting Asian women and upper middle class men? Keep Town Center safe!!! Bust the Asian spa!
Did you also see the national news report about the Dateline NBC sting and the cluster f**k that segment has broiled into in Murphy, TX? A prosecutor from a neighboring town offs himself as officer's are knocking on his door, the Murphy city manager was fired and pretty much all the charges will be dropped.
I am all for going after child predators, but between two consenting adults I think LE and the news needs to find better things to cover.
Maybe this case in Murphy will make LE think twice about having TV camera's and Chris Hansen wannabes as part of their stings. I wouldn't be surprised if you see a law suit or two come from some of the men that were arrested.
The tv report had more excitement and drama but remember you learned the news here first....about a week earlier. For up to the minute news and social commentary, remember to stay tuned to USASexGuide!
I guess I miss the 'good old days' of Cronkite or Huntley/Brinkley when the reporters REPORTED the news and didn't try auditioning for a soap opera while making their report. Editorials came from the likes of an Eric Severiad and not the reporters or anchor.
Friend of mine once said TV news ceased being objective when the news departments became profit centers rather than news departments. I agree.
That story was great. I bet the two local business guys that they interviewed were either pissed that they didn't know about it before they got busted or were there best customers. And wow, imagine that. They didn't answer the bell when a TV reporter was at the front door with a camera man and probably a big ass news van parked straight outside. Fucking idiots. And why aren't they closed? The report said they got busted?
I think I choose a bad career path. I should have been a cop or a reporter. Anyone can out do those clowns.
Best of Luck. Creeper
Stopped by Asian Spa didn't see anyone I knew, talked with "mamasan" before I left and she said they may be moving, I guess things are to "hot" over here for them, she said she wasn't sure if the lease would be renewed, I hope things don't go across the river to the beach.
of course by officers I mean pricks. Here is an article from the Daily Press that makes it pretty clear that cops are trolling here. I thought they were too busy shooting unarmed people in Newport News to care.
Three arrested for selling sexual favors at Asian Spa
Police said they found the massage parlor listed on an Internet sex site.

NEWPORT NEWS -- An undercover sting led police to arrest three women accused of selling sexual favors out of an Oyster Point massage parlor.
Kyong Suk English, a 53-year-old Maryland woman, was arrested June 22 on charges of pandering, money laundering, aiding and abetting prostitution, maintaining a bawdy place and possession of marijuana.
English owns a massage parlor called Asian Spa, in an office park on Thimble Shoals Boulevard. Police found the business listed on a Web site, a search warrant shows. Postings on the site said clients could get oral sex with their massage for an extra tip, according to the warrant.
Two employees, Hye Young Park, 49, of New York, and Chang Ha Pak, 53, of Maryland, were arrested and charged with unlawful massage. Pak was also charged with prostitution.
Police seized $11,331 in cash from the business and froze a bank account containing $1,500, said police spokesman Lou Thurston.
Police gave the women's names to U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials and found that all three women, natives of Korea, are in the country legally. If they are found guilty, their business license will be revoked, Thurston said

Well, we need a spa or three like that in the Richmond area - 7 or 8 years ago we had one that lasted about 2 weeks on Broad Street. The only drawback I can see (other than LE) is how I'm going to explain my need for weekly massage therapy sessions at $1.8 per pop so to speak.

Maybe our spa should consider moving to Surry County. Over there, they announce search warrants a few weeks in advance in the local newpaper so you have time to clean up the place and expect company before LE arrives.

I would never expect a spa to succeed in Richmond. What works here is a private person or a Craigs List provider coming through town, as opposed to a regular business. I really did like Asian for what it was. Oh well.
Stopped by Thimble Shoals this afternoon, and the spa, so far as I could tell, was well and truly gone. Not on the directory or anything.
Oh well. Back to craigslist.
I was told by mamasan that they were opening at the beach and gave me her # but still haven't heard or seen Massage rooms around, Anyone else hear anything?
I am staying in Hampton, form Houston, Texas. I miss my asian parlors. Can someone give me some info? Let me know.

There was only one but now it's gone.
Damn the luck, I thought I found one, but it was a dead lead. Some place on ThimbleShoals, anyhow its gone like yesterdays newspaper. What about the surrounding areas, Richmond, Virginia beach. This summmer I was in Japan for two months, I have the yellow fever like you wouldn't believe. Help a brother out.
The closest AMPs that I am aware of are three hours to the north in NOVA or DC. DC being the better choice right now as NOVA is going through one of its morality kicks right now. :(
Sorry, but this is bible belt country and even sex between a husband and wife is nearly illegal.
Great thanks for the info, I was in Richmond yesterday. These places you mentioned in Nova, where are they exactly and I got a trip to Washington comming up. Give some more details on locations, thanks for the help fellas.

I'm gonna be in Williamsburg for a golf trip. Any AMP's, asian escorts or strip clubs I should look into?

Probably not. Your chances of picking up women in Williamsburg would probably be better at church, an ice cream parlor or the library. You will understand when you get here. Bring books to read and a camera. Williamsburg is very much a family type place to visit this time of year.

Old Sailor is right. About the only holes you'll put your balls any where near are your golf balls into the holes on the greens. At least that you pay to put your balls near.
Unfortunately, this area is a desert when it comes to pay for play sex. We had an AMP in Newport News for a couple of months last year. NNPD closed it down pronto. :(
There were stories on the news of a couple of folks running some kind of pay for sex out of their house or trailer. Local PD's busted them.
There may be incall pay for sex around here, but it does not seem to draw mongers from this board who are willing to report it. Even by PM to relatively well known senior members.
Now if you are lucky, you could always connect with a tourist lady and have more fun for free (or dinner).
New to this forum - was particularly interested in this thread. However, seems pretty dead.
Anything new to report? Especially on the south side?
Hi folks,
I'm new to this forum. I was especially interested in this thread. Looks like there hasnt been any posts in quite some time. Any updates would be great!
Look forward to being a contributing member.
Newport News and Hampton are barren in respect to AMPS or MPs. I don't believe there is much on the southside either, but you really should post your question in the Tidewater thread as they will be more knowledgeable on changes there.
Good luck and hope you find something to entertain you and post what you find.

First time poster but long time lurker so I know the rules. Just wish I had better news to report:
After a short time away I returned to my fav spot in Chantilly. Best.
I went in and the woman who met me asked the usual. Have you been here before? I said yes and dropped the names of my two favorites. SHe said they were gone but that she remembered seeing me. Disappointing but not suprising given the turn over in NOVA.
So I go to the room w/ her and hand over the NOVA standard fee w/o being prompted (surely another sign I'm not a newbie? ) She also saw I had more $$$ on hand if needed.
Shower. First signs of trouble. Same woman. Towel over the parts that needed shower.
Back to the room w/o any talk. She then leaves me in there 5 + mins. Now I'm of the "leave the tip out" school and I had done so this time. However, with the bad vibe building I put the tip back in wallet.
Massage. Good and to her credit it lasted the full hour. But again towel over certain areas and she studiously avoided any contact with my hands. I didn't press it and sat back to enjoy and see what happened.
The flip. Again with the towel and a short foot massage. Then, to my horror she says "I'm done. You finished" and bolted from the room. As I sat there stunned she returned, stuck her head in the door. Handed me a bottled water (? ) and said "for you". Then she left again. Not knowing if she was trying to protect me from something I wasn't aware of (unwanted visitors? ) I didn't press it but I don't see how she would know since she was with me the whole time. Strangely I heard no other traffic and this place used to have at least some in/out.
As I left she called out a "bye" from another room.
Needless to say I left no tip
Anyway, I left disappointed. Now I didn't get any uglier in the last few weeks and I brushed my teeth this AM so I'm crushed and don't know why the change. I didn't act any different. Any insights?
I'll probably go back one more time to see if this was a fluke.

Kilamojo, a very good first post, so with what follows, don't let it stop you from posting again. However I do believe it would have been better had you posted it in the Northern Virgina forums rather the the South Eastern VA forum.
Newport News is a good three to four hour drive from Chantilly. Though that may be standard NOVA commute time we're hardly in the neighborhood. I mean I haven't been to a NOVA AMP in a couple of years. Not since my job no longer has me visiting the DC area every so often. By the time I get BACK home, I need another massage. :D
Has aneyone seen Jeannie smith. She works the southside and Hampton Roads.
I called her, she got a place in Newport News also.

Southside is also barren. There is one Amp advertising on CL but the first post about it was legit. I went in and walked back out based on the setup/vibe.
I passed a place on the GW Memorial called Zilda's Brazilian Massage. Looked like the kind of place that would be good to visit. Didn't have a chance to stop, and I don't know when I'll be back in town. Anyone know if the place is worth the time, trouble and money? HE or no? Is the massage even worth getting?
Thanks,
W
