JR, I agree, but, in practice, what I've seen is it's the nicer girls who wind up getting hurt. The mean-to-the-core ones know how they behave, and they know that everyone who walks through the door is going to leave mad, so they are VERY likely to already have tools in reach that they can use to deter angry men.

Okay, we don't ALWAYS find those for $200, but you know we hit those sometimes. Back when it was still a place where it wasn't oversaturated with folks desperately looking, before the current prohibition on personals ads, I used to use Craigslist to post a semi-discreet ad for a mutually beneficial relationship meeting once a week, with the requirements being that they provide a picture on the first message, the need to be at least 20 or older, and that payment will be between $100-150, depending on whether or not they could host. I'd put the ad up, get a couple of replies, then change the ad to a "need lawncare" ad so that's all that would remain in my CL ad history, and delete it.

I found some lovely 20-somethings who were entirely down with that for months at a time. Older ones wouldn't consider that enough cash, but folks working minimum wage jobs would certainly consider it.

It doesn't work nowadays, though. There is too much craziness and noise going on in the "community" section, which is the closest place to where you could post it, now.

That said, I still don't pay more than $200 an hour to anyone, with incredibly rare exceptions, so they've got to meet the "gold standard" if they're asking for that, and this ripoff artist with BPD was not.
